Balaton Sound 2012 (headlining)
Sziget 2013 (headlining End Show)
Balaton Sound 2014 (headlining)
Volt 2015 (headlining)
And now Sziget 2016 but still with no date announced.

It's a safe bet for them, unfortunately. I only hope there will be a good band before him, like Kasabian before Avicii last year or Outkast before Calvin Harris in 2014.

Hello to you all. I see there are quite a lot of experienced festivals goers so I need some help with Sziget Festival.

2016 will be my first Sziget festival and my main issue is camping. I went to Sea Dance Festival '15 and I never want to experience such horrible camping conditions (35 degrees at 8 am and rising towards 40 at 2pm with no shade at all) again. Are all shady places at Sziget taken by VIP camping and the three more expensive sites (Siesta, Apero, Alternative) OR can you be fine to find a shady spot (arriving on day 1 obviously) with just a normal ticket and basic camping?

Lots of shade in regular camping.

the camping upgrades give you some more facilities. It depends from what you are searching for.

If it's for one tent it's very easy to find a shady spot also arriving Aug 10, but if you're a group of people it's becoming harder to place 5-6 tents in a shady spot in reagular camping on the first day as you can now enter on the island 3 days earlier. Last year after an approximately 1 hour research I found a very good spot under threes for all our tents together (we were 9 tents), but take your considerations as this year looks like there will be even more people. I suggest to arrive one day before and get a moving-in ticket to be sure, if you want to camp in the regular one.

Ah, actually "regular camping" means you place the tent wherever you want on the island.

The problem is with camping is that the shade doesn't do *that* much, especially if it's 40C+ as it was in 2012. You will get hot and you will be awake early if that's the case, shade or no shade. 

Frankly I'm done with Sziget camping and as a mate it coming out for a few days so I'm in a hotel. 

Also, I'd reckon Sigur Ros are headlining, in addition to Muse and Guetta (obvs). I would not be surprised in the slightest to see Bring me the Horizon headline either.

2012 was hot? Man, were you there in 2013 and 2015? Those 2 were there real hot years! In 2012 the weather was perfect! And Bring Me The Horizon headlining? Naah, Maybe Sigur Ros, but not BMTH for sure.

Anyway looks like Muse is not playing day -1- as usually they say it when they announce the artist of that day, starting also the ticketing. This means we're gonna get at least another big name as they can set a more expansive price for that day ticket. I keep on thinking this year we're going to get a very solid lineup!

I just could't miss the opportunity to see Arcade Fire! Also, I'll watch M83 to avoid a possible clash at Sziget (M83/Muse would kill me for example).

Definitely camping though, not far from the main stage :)

But is the end show on the Tuesday or the Wednesday? Unfortunately we've already booked flights, however if the end show is literally just david guetta on the Tuesday we won't be that bothered!

Wasn't sure if the last Wednesday is just a pack up your tent and leave that morning kind of thing?
