While she sleeps are bigger than Moose Blood.

Nah they're really not. Moose Blood sold out KOKO months in advance of a UK tour and will push on to The Forum on their next UK headline. If While She Sleeps were anywhere near that size they wouldn't be playing two nights at The Dome on their first headline tour on a new album cycle.

Moose Blood are definitely bigger than WSS. It's a crime that WSS aren't massive. They should be. They are an incredible band who are very under-appreciated.

Think their biggest problem has been that for the most part pretty much anyone over the age of like 25 has always written them off as a metalcore band for kids.

Are we ruling out Royal Blood completely then?

Not really, it's just odd that they haven't announced anything at that end of the festival season. It's not that they are unlikely, they are just not likely (as apposed to say, alt-J who have already been announced for Pukklepop 2 weeks before). It could be that they're gonna have a new album out by then and wanna be at fests stylised differently (similar to how Noisia are down as Noisia 'Outer Edges) but who knows. It is suspicious that they have nothing going on at the very least.

So is 30STM not looking likely at all subbing muse?

30STM are less likely. They are playing at Red Rocks beginning of September. That doesn't necessarily mean that they won't do Reading as there last gig on this side of the pond then fly back, it's just not likely.

Don't talk about things you don't know anything about.

I'm not, they are a kids band that older fans of then try and pretend they aren't. It's fine, I like and see loads of acts that the 20 year me saw.

Before you mention about me not knowing stuff, you should remember your prediction to put Stormzy as a R&L sub.

A kids band. Just shut up. Fool.

Why not a TBA NME headliner as well?

I think it has to be: Muse / TBA / Haim / Blossoms / Giggs / Architects (possible Pit headliner however) // NME: TBA / Halsey

One of them either Chano or Skep, the other someone held back for another reason - possibly just the other reason of making the next announcement seem strong.

Well I assumed there was a TBA sub and NME headliner at first (Skepta and Chance), but ruled that specific combination out due to what you said about Wireless headliners. You're right though, there could be other reasons why one is being held back. Maybe one is a Latitude headliner such as Lana Del Rey.

i doubt they'd hold any more than they had to back for that day as it looks weak ass fuck right now, so I reckon there must be a reason for it. Could even be an act wanting to sell more tickets for their own shows first.

On what you said about G-Eazy not being as high as Giggs on the poster, though, G-Eazy was 6th down and Giggs is 4th down. However, G-Eazy had no TBA slots above him. If we're assuming there are 2 TBA acts on the Sunday this year that means Giggs would have been 6th down if there were no TBAs. So I don't think we can rule him out of 1xtra headline due to being too high on the poster.

G-Eazy was also 2 acts above the NME sub on the poster last year, similar to how Giggs is above Halsey on this year's poster (who we all seem to be assuming is the NME sub).

Wouldn't the Giggs set on the 1xtra be at 10 as well anyway? either way he'd be closing a stage? I just don't see how else he would have ended that high up on the poster. At the least he would have been put on the end after Halsey surely if he was playing that far down?

You have to draw a much bigger crowd on the NME Stage than the 1xtra stage for it to not look ridiculous. For instance Architects would draw a decent headline crowd on The Pit, but put that same crowd at the NME Stage for a headliner and it's woefully small.

Also, as above, G-Eazy (1xtra headliner) was 2 acts above The Wombats (NME sub) last year, so Giggs wouldn't have to be after Halsey if he was headlining 1xtra.

Playing Reading and Creamfields on the same day, is this normal? I suppose the turnaround time for a DJ is much less than for a band?

Edit: I suppose he'll have a private jet to make the journey shorter, and Creamfields curfew time is probably much later?

It's rare that you get acts playing the NME stage in consecutive years so would think Blossoms and Giggs will be one after the other on main. Just how high that is, I dread to think.

When you mentioned Giggs having played 1xtra twice already I for some reason thought those were his last two performances. Didn't realise he played NME last year. I agree on acts rarely playing the NME Stage on consecutive years so for me this nails him as a 1xtra headliner. I just can't see him on main, although I appreciate you think otherwise.

Acts often play Reading/Leeds and Creamfields in the same day. I think Creamfields often has headliners play during the day so he'll probably be on early at Creamfields and then jet to Reading.
