Acts often play Reading/Leeds and Creamfields in the same day. I think Creamfields often has headliners play during the day so he'll probably be on early at Creamfields and then jet to Reading.

Ah yeah that makes a lot of sense, I didn't even think about him playing earlier at Creamfields and later at Reading.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Deadmau5 did similar when headlining the Dance Stage one year. Although, thinking about it, it may have actually been Reading he played earlier at. We know Major Lazer are defo on before Eminem though so he must be playing earlier at Creamfields.

Do we know this for sure? I know its an obvious choice but has it actually been confirmed?

On what you said about G-Eazy not being as high as Giggs on the poster, though, G-Eazy was 6th down and Giggs is 4th down. However, G-Eazy had no TBA slots above him. If we're assuming there are 2 TBA acts on the Sunday this year that means Giggs would have been 6th down if there were no TBAs. So I don't think we can rule him out of 1xtra headline due to being too high on the poster.

G-Eazy was also 2 acts above the NME sub on the poster last year, similar to how Giggs is above Halsey on this year's poster (who we all seem to be assuming is the NME sub).

Ah I didn't notice that. Fair enough then.

Pretty much sums up the weird view some people have on While She Sleeps. Find it really weird. Is the flag thing? Or the sort of crowds that older people see them get at festivals like Download which put them off?

I don't understand it, because that band SLAMS. They should be popular with anyone who likes metal. They've just got ALL the riffs.

I could imagine Noo Noo going batshit to Death Toll, actually.

Exactly. Also This Is The Six is perfect way to teach kids to count

Think they're just associated with BMTH for some reason. Could be the Sheffield thing that made think that way but I'm guessing it's the crowd but I don't ever see Counterparts get any similarities to the two and they're criminally underrated. Even my mates who like Metalcore/Hardcore don't know about them or listen to them just is a shame. Either way both bands need to show an Architects style image instead of a BMTH one to get some recognition.

Why?, I've just admitted to liking bands that are for a fan base much younger than me......you don't need to follow onto reply to my post admitting it by telling me so know I don't need reminding.

First of all when you're 20 years old you're not a kid and second As It Is are clearly a band marketed towards teenagers typically around 14-16 which some people may find a bit dodgy Gaz considering you're well over 20 ;)

Yep, 3PM in the Dance Tent for a full headline set just as he was blowing up.

Still the best set I've ever seen at Reading.

April 21st seems to be the date where the main lineup is completed...

(2015 Alt-J who were the special guests* were announced on 21/04. Also, 2016 I believe that's the first time we saw the poster?)

*For anyone who doesn't recall, they headlined Latitude that year, hence why they were held back and labeled 'Special guests' - similar to Chance this year?

Edit: 2015 3rd headliner was announced on 24/02 and 2016 it was 01/03

Diplo just posted this:

Playing Reading and Creamfields on the same day, is this normal? I suppose the turnaround time for a DJ is much less than for a band?

Edit: I suppose he'll have a private jet to make the journey shorter, and Creamfields curfew time is probably much later?

That stage can finish at late as 4am Sunday so plenty of time but I'd have still thought it would be easier to plan Cream and Leeds on the same night.

It doesn't matter about the age, you tried to call me out on liking younger bands and you failed because I'd admitted it. I'm well aware of the ages....I was at Slam Dunk...it was link a bloody creche at times!.....but that doesn't mean that I meant for indecent reasons you knob.

I love how much of a fall from grace Jake Bugg had between whenever they inevitably made the booking for him to sub to when it was actually announced (and then to when he played). That must've been a dull dull set.

It was a great booking, from the Arctic monkey's point of view made them seem like the best live band in the universe. (Prodigy however, did not have the same affect in 09...)
