Kasabian are probably most likely to be announced first as it's widely assumed now they're headlining and they're releasing new music soon so would tie in well.

Wolf Alice are also on that bill so they're touring again, presumably with a new album to boot. Could easily go third down or maybe NME headline on the assumption their new album does as well as the previous.

Yeah Wolf Alice would be great, for some reason they completely passed me by until a few weeks ago and now I can't get enough. Like you said if their second album does well I can see them third under co-headliners like CHVRCHES did this year.

Would love if the Reading line up followed the mad cool festival line up so far - KoL, Greenday, Foo Fighters, Alt J and Wolf Alice. Even more so if they offered tickets for €105.

Some others I would like to see on the line up:

The xx, Warpaint, Royal Blood, The Sherlocks, VANT, Odesza, Spector, Temples, Slaves, Jagwar Ma, Glass Animals

Hopefully the first announcement will be a good one!

Probably won't be KoL, won't be Green Day, Foos will be at Glasto.

The rest seem reasonable enough, although the I don't think they be 3rd on main like everyone else is saying they will be, 4th on main seems much more likely, their album did well but they're not going to bump them upto 3rd main without having anything else out.

think it's a safe bet that they'll have a new album out by the time the festival comes around and they're just the type of act i can see FR giving a boost up the lineup. i'm expecting them to be third for sure

Yeah the reason they're at festivals next Summer is presumably because they'll have a new album out. As said above I think third main/NME headliners is about right.

Right at the start I was predicting Paramore to come back and headline outright but I cooled on that idea for some reason. I currently have a trio of Royal Blood/alt-J, Kasabian and The Strokes predicted, but it doesn't really allow much scope to have any kind of heavier day on main (I ended up having ADTR third down on The Strokes' day). Royal Blood could work with a heavier undercard but if they co-headline with alt-J it'd seem a bit odd. Paramore would make sense.

Kasabian // Major Lazer // Wolf Alice // Run the Jewels

Paramore // A Day To Remember // You Me at Six // Twin Atlantic

 

I would like to fit Jamie T in somehow but I expect all of those subs to be there so dunno how I'd fit him in. ADTR could probably drop down to 3rd main but then none of Jamie T, Major Lazer or Catfish and the Bottlemen would really fit as a sub on that Paramore day. Then again Macklemore didn't fit on the Blink day in 2014.

Can't speak for everyone but I just think it'd be quite a big bump up - especially for an act the festival has no particular relationship with. Can see them headlining Latitude instead and then maybe from there making the move to Reading headliners

Royal Blood as co-headliners and Wolf Alice third down is very very dependant on an album in 2017 that is as successful (if not more) than their first. 

The way I see it panning out is Royal Blood would simply sub someone larger like Kasabian or Muse and Wolf Alice 4th down on Main.

I just feel that Wolf Alice aren't going to be big enough for 3rd down, looking at previous bands in that spot:

'14: Shikari / Imagine Dragons / YM@6
'15: Bastille / Royal Blood / Jamie T
'16: BBK / Courteeners / ASAP  

Regardless, I hope both get a decent spot.. both are great live acts.

Rammstein have said they're doing Euro fests. Honestly can't see them at R&L (which is a shame) but maybe they could sub ala NIN? Be a tough gig for whatever poor sods have to follow that show though.

I'd love this. I'd say Rammstein - Kasabian - Royal Blood/Alt-J looks very strong and it could be to keep Sonisphere away and completely kill them off but think that's more of a pipe dream than anything and I think they'd do their own shows.

More like a breakfast set list, a lunchtime set list and finally a dinner set list for the evening. Constantly conflicted as to whether the dinner set should open with carbs or veg, though.
