Rammstein doing festivals in late May and early June, so even if they hadn't been ruled out by the fact Reading wouldn't have the balls to do a risk booking like Rammstein it is by the tour dates.

KoL don't have a London date on their tour if i remember correctly, which seems to set them up for BST.

Either way, just hoping it's not R&L that they end up at.

KoL don't have a London date on their tour if i remember correctly, which seems to set them up for BST.

Yeah Neil has heard they're doing BST, too. He posted it in the Glasto section the other day.

I was actually pretty tempted by GG14, but didn't get it organised with pals in time to go in the end. Looks like I dodged a bullet there - I haven't heard anyone really bemoan the fact it's now a dead festival.

As far as dance fests go I'll be keeping my eyes on SW4 this year, if it didn't take over the same weekend as R&L I would have gone last year. £60 on a Saturday ticket got you: Knife Party, Nero, Flux Pavilion, Netsky, Sub Focus, Tchami, DJ EZ, Dizzee Rascal, Gorgon City, Noisia. If they'd moved Rudimental to Sunday and The Chemical Brothers to Saturday it would have been ridiculous value for money, if you're into that sort of thing.

NME are reporting that Guns N Roses are close to announcing their European tour. I know they've been mentioned before but surely that' makes them more likely now.

This sorta thing is reported every few weeks now tho, and I think it's impossible to gauge the probability of them playing R&L right now. It's clear that they're all about the cash now, it just remains to be seen whether R&L shows could be more financially beneficial than some stadium dates. Personally I don't see why they'd opt for R&L shows over UK stadium dates, and I can't envisage R&L affording Guns N' Roses, Eminem and Kasabian either.

yeah with the mega expensive Eminem now looking likely there ain't a chance in hell Guns N Roses are another of the headliners (not that they were ever particularly likely)

I would see those for £60, even Rudimental.

I just found the festival site lacking in atmosphere compared to Glasto & Soni at Knebworth a few weeks before. It's on a shitty run down airfield. Plus a few knob heads in certain tents & ridiculous rules like not being able to bring alcohol into the campsite & charging a lot for shitty crates of Carlsberg inside. Music finished at 12pm on Friday night, at a camping dance fest, that is unnaceptable.

If I do another dance fest, It will be a one dayer (WE ARE FSTVL Sunday for Hospital records).
