Basically only few artists tends to do both festival and we already know one of them..

Thanks for the info! They came in 2012 and I hope Rock Werchter will be smart enough (I know I'm biaised) to book them.
Their manager told me that they'll be in America, Europe and Japan in august.

I think a few will make the crossing over to the UK after this that have a fairly decent chance of playing like the 1975, two door, chvrches and tame impala.

TDCC are in europe afterwards (Hurricane & SouthSide) so they're nailed in.  I can't believe Tame Impala will miss RW & Glastonbury as they are one of the hottest act around. Chvrches is a different thing,  part of it because RW already missed them last album. If theyll come back to Europe they will play.

What are the chances of blink at rock werchter next year? :)

Not sure on blink considering Travis's fear of flying but you never know

Tomorrow we'll get Father John Misty following BBK Bilbao announcement?

Don't think they've ever announced an undercard name before the new year. If they announce something tomorrow, I reckon it to be Editors or The National.

As for Blink182: I think their biggest issue is not the flight, but rather the departure of Tom Delonge. Can't imagine a lot of European festivals being eager to book Blink for high spots with a replacement singer.

As for Stone Roses: someone from Mojo (Dutch division of Live Nation) said Stone Roses won't do any Netherlands festivals because their (financial) demands are too high compared to their popularity. Same thing for Belgium then.

That depends on what you call undercard..  I remember last year already having Alt-j, Royal Blood, TWOD, Rise Against and probably more but Im getting old,  my memory isnt what it used to be ;)

BTW,  I prefer your suggestion.

As for Blink 182: they played indeed in 2012 (was there, very happy as a fan, but not the greatest show to be fair) which was AFTER the accident, so travelling across the ocean is possible with them, however - as Dietediet said - DeLonge's departure might make the band less "good choice" in the eyes of the festival organisers.

You're speeding things up a month...it was mid-december with RA and Alt-J (Royal Blood were announced in January).

Anyway, it's probably all coming down to Coldplay or Pearl Jam as Thursday head. Both options suit me well, seeing PJ at RW 3 times was a mindblowing experience :) But Coldplay - it's gonna be four long years since I saw them so....come on !

My only concern are Editors. Hoping they'll play before/after Florence.

And when it comes to Pixies (if they come) - PLEASE make them again Saturday Barn headliners. I'll ditch RHCP in a heartbeat

Can't see it being Father John Misty being announced tomorrow. I'd say more higher lineup names and well know before Christmas and then we'll get names like FJM and Courtney Barnett in packages on Friday's next year when they start announcing again after the Christmas break. Not sure we'll even get any tomorrow but if we do i'm in the belief it'll also be Editors or The National.

I'm a Blink fan and I wouldn't mind them coming along without Tom (He is a massive part of Blink but if Tom and Travis want to carry on enjoying and playing the songs they love as a fan I'm happy with that) and the new guys does a pretty good job. Although I'd want them to play in the same sort of slot Rise Against got this year and not to there usual headliner status but that wouldn't happen at rock werchter anyway as they aren't big in Belgium. Anyways, it's too short a turnaround for Travis to play in the USA and be in Europe a week later, would be all too rushed so if they come Europe for festivals it'll be late summer.

As Dietediet has mentioned previously a big name is always needed for the Thursday to sell it out as it is the hardest day to sell so I think we're most certainly looking at Pearl Jam, Coldplay and I'd probably add in Guns N'Roses with the speculation of their reunion. I'd say with those posted pictures of a Manchester date soon to be announced Coldplay have got to be the most likely as PJ/GNR only go as far as rumours. If that theory is correct Editors will play after Florence which makes that a lot stronger than just Florence and not too expensive I'd imagine!

My thinking if they got Coldplay or PJ, Rammstein & Red Hot Chili Peppers would be they've saved alot of cash on Foo's pulling out last year as they wouldn't have had to pay them but still getting the same returns from tickets/food etc they've been able to get an expensive strong set of headliners/lineup because of this. (Fingers crossed anyway)

I honestly don't understand why anyone could choose Coldplay over Pearl Jam.

It's not choosing Coldplay OVER PJ with me, it's just me saying I love both bands. For a bit of different reasons. PJ are pure r n'r, Coldplay are a stunning popshow. Both to be experienced. And since I've seen PJ at RW 3 times and Coldplay only once (+ my wife is a uber PJ fan and she won't come since she's handling our little daughter) - I'd vote for Coldplay. But if Ed & co. will show up - I'll drink my wine and sing like a madman :)

What are the chances of Coldplay playing with yesterday's stadium announcement?

Not a lot... It makes several months that Coldplay are supposée to add Stadium dates, with maybe an exception for Glastonbury. I dont understand why they are still rumoured..

Can't stand coldplay and pj are my favourite band so it's a bit of a no brainer for me haha.

Have Billy talent played before? They're doing the rounds and I really hope they're there

Agreed with Billy Talent, really want them there! No idea how likely they'd be though. I'm sure dietediet could shed some light on that though.

Surely the most likely now they've got dates, what's to say Werchter isn't also an exception? Must be considered more likely than PJ who are only rumoured to be touring so may not even happen yet.

Coldplay is out, just announced their tour dates and RW doesn't fit into that. There's a nice big gap and no Belgian date, so 99% sure that's Werchter Boutique in the same weekend as Glasto.

Edit: wouldn't be surprised if today's 4pm announcement is Coldplay for Boutique.
