Great news ! Also, Pearl Jam is going to headline Bonnaroo festival 2016 (9th-12th june); that means that PJ is really coming to Europe next summer

Doesn't it rather make the 'PJ cancelled their European tour' stories more likely, since Bonnaroo clashes with some of the rumoured European dates?

Yes it does. It's probable that Pearl Jam had planned European dates, and then had cancelled because of problems with production teams, and your source who predicted the announcement 2weeks ago was right. Many clues assert this theory : no names for Thursday at Rock Werchter, rumours of dates at Ziggo Dôme + dates at Pinkpop (it's Ziggo or PP but not both...), the reactions of Jeff Ament during the live chat on Twitter, the rumour of a current negociation with NOS Alive. If we collect all these clues we have the next part of the theory : Pearl Jam will come to Europe next summer with at least these dates after renegociation: Bonnaroo 9th-12th june (Manchester), Prague (27th June), NOS Alive (7th June). Ans if they are at NOS Alive... Rock Werchter would not be far away...

Of course it is in USA. If those rumours are true, there are no June dates for PJ in Europe, unfortunately. save me some money for Young and ACDC

Sorry for that, Bonnaroo isn't in Europe. I'm absolutely wrong and disappointed.

I hope none of this MSF announcement will get to RW but chances are low. 

Last year RW announced after just one week of ticket sales that they already sold 45k tickets (w/o a name for Saturday and with only five known names).  This year there is silence because of low ticket sales I guess and I dont see any of the MSF names change any of it (maybe Ellie Goulding before Flo will sell fast? I dont know).

I doubt ticket sales are low with Rammstein and a RHCP/Editors combo. I assume we'll get all the big names of that lineup, considering Ellie Goulding and Makclemore are arena fillers over here, and Y&Y + Disclosure are heavily hyped.

It was on the official The Offspring Facebook page for a while, then they removed it. I guess a co-announcement this evening is in the works.

I'm thinking the reasoning for no bands on the Thursday being announced thus far is because they have booked Pearl Jam ready to announced on Fri 4th Dec with tickets on sale the next day. PJ European tour was then cancelled so they have been working on booking another big headliner for the Thursday with all the other big festivals that had PJ booked to get a suitable replacement. Not sure we'll get another announcement before the new year either

Graspop just announced new names. I don't remember Rock Werchter announcing on the same day as GMM, I could be wrong though....
