That RSD account has also tweeted saying that the Stone Roses are also headlining! Tweeted it about half an hour ago

Radiohead and the Roses would be amazing. Throw in a bit of New Order, Leftfield and Beck and you're talking one of the best line ups of the summer. All plausible as well.

I asked them how sure they were and they replied..

In spanish "huele" is similar than "rumour"

Edit. Their original tweet was

Hoy martes diremos que huele a The Stone Roses en el Primavera Sound Festival 2016.

Translation: "Today, tuesday, we will say that it smells like Stone Roses will be at Primavera Sound Festival 2016"

Im thinking the same about Stone Roses. FIB Will throw the cash money wad to secure them. Radiohead would be phenomenal, if a tad optimistic, it's a shame they would be on the Heineken or Primavera stage.....the rayban amphitheatre stage would be magical.

*edit I'm sticking to my guns....Yeezy

Beck is almost a certainty and I would expect Foals to play.....but I wouldn't see them as a headliner? Maybe these days they are. Flaming lips can come back if they want.....sans Hannah Montana.

're: foals, I suppose it depends on how high the organisers are aiming. They'll headline Reading/Leeds and they'll be very high up the bill at Glastonbury.

Certainly more worthy of a headline spot than Ride were and they could pull it off with ease imo.

They won't be at Glastonbury if they're headlining R&L.

It doesn't matter which slots the band gets in the UK. Same with Biffy Clyro or Kasabian.

It's different styles and countries. Foals fits at Reading but I just don't see them as Primavera headliners. They don't have the right style, critical acclaim, 'quality' status or whatever.

Ride, however, are the other way round. Probably wouldn't work at Reading but they're great headliners for Primavera. They're a legendary, influential band and we know PS loves shoegaze. This festival is different than most others.

Despite being fourth line down, they still played a pretty major slot and it's not unreasonable to think they'll move into a headline slot now. Think they would at least be subs but all the more likely they'll just end up at BBK or Benicassim or whatever else there is.

Are there day tickets for Primavera? Booked up to go to Barcelona at time of the festival and if the line-up as a whole isn't worthy of a weekend ticket but Stone Roses headline one of the nights I'd definitely wanna head down for the day without splashing out on the weekend ticket.

Day tickets go on sale for ~65€ for a few weeks and then they go up to 90 I think. I wouldn't recommend buying day tickets unless you didn't buy a weekend ticket early in the year and you are absolutetly sure about going only one day. Otherwise spend some time looking for a weekend ticket at a reasonable price.
