Green Man Festival 2016

Good to hear all you guys had a great festival; I had a good time too...but it was definitely my lowest ranked GM. It's mainly because they've increased shift lengths (I was stewarding), from 6 to 8 hours, so that they can have less stewards working longer and allocate more general tickets. This meant it took up too much time, and then tiredness spilled over into my time actually watching bands. For me it's nowhere near worth just a free ticket now.

Secondly they've moved crew camping- it's more cramped and further away now- again so they can fit more paying tickets in. It also has to have been the least Green Man vibed area of the whole site, being pretty noisy at night and messy; I think this was partly because a lot crew haven't been to GM before (first time stewards, litter pickers sent from the job centre etc) , or are just there to do a job rather than listen to the music.

Anyway, despite the above complaining, I did still have a good time.

Kamasi Washington was a highlight, The Rhythm Changes is a beautiful track. I feel like him + band could have been great subs on the main stage one night- they could win round any crowd, even if they hadn't heard of him before.

Floating Points- As good as expected, great visuals too. 

Oliver Coates- Great chilled out start to the day. He also played a never heard before track that had a great vocal version of Radiohead's Identikit.

Last 15 minutes of Edward Sharpe...and Laura Marling after them...great vibes from both.

Hearing such Grandaddy classics as The Crystal Lake and AM 180 live
