Ray Sheep
My friends have very kindly offered to pick me up en route to Glasto. They will be travelling down from South Manchester (Sale) and I live in West London (Ealing). I don't have a driving licence / am useless with directions - would appreciate suggestions re: best route for them to take in order to pick me up, then carry on to Somerset. I reckon we'll be aiming to arrive middle of the night on the Tues / early Weds morning. Thanks!

Ray Sheep
Thanks guypjfreak and Smeble. I'm thinking of telling my friends not to worry about it if it is a nightmare diversion - I don't mind jumping on the National Express coach from Victoria really Edited October 25, 2015 by Ray Sheep Bizarre formatting
bexj
It's approx 310 miles to do Sale/Ealing/Glastonbury as opposed to 175miles if they went direct. Why don't you get the train to Bristol or even Birmingham and they could collect you from there if you want to go in together!
johnmcga
Maybe hop on a train to somewhere they can pick you up on their route? As you're in Ealing you can easily get out west to Bristol, or even Swindon which would still be less of a diversion for them. Besides, the train is a much comfier way to travel, as long as you pack light!
Ray Sheep
Thanks a lot bexj and johnmcga, I hadn't thought of that! I think meeting them in Bristol might work really well and would have the added bonus that I'd not have to feel bad about being such a pain to accomodate! johnmcga
Just make sure you ask them to buy any beer or spirits that you want, so you don't have to lug them with you on the train!(Or stop at a supermarket with them en-route, of course…)
