I can't see how it can be a post code issue. The postcode for Shepton Mallet is BA4 and I know several people in Shepton who bought tickets yesterday without a problem. If BA4 wasn't regarded as a local postcode than no-one with that postcode should have been accepted.

My postcode is BA4 and was told I'm not local, I emailed seetickets and glastonburyticketing so far only glastonbury has got back to me saying they will get seetickets to look into why my postcode didn't work. This is a joke, iv been going to the festival for years and I want answers!!!! If not we should all get together and storm the gates next year haha!

An absolute farce, I live just outside the local ticket range and was lucky in the main draw, but quite a few friends who are in the catchment have been trying with mixed results - mirroring a lot of the posts above.

Not being funny, but it relies on the local population being on side to ensure the festival goes ahead, its not just the week there is disruption but several before and after.  This is a sure fire way to piss local people off.

Sure I understand there is a limited number and will be disappointment but this nonsense of using See is daft, stick to what works, ensure people are genuine and most will accept and be happy with that.

I can see exactly how it could be a postcode issue, in fact See have form with this, years ago when entering your registration details you had to use the exact postcode as entered on the system including any space, eg. BA4 6BB would not be seen as the same as BA46BB as the second one hasn't had the space put in. This doesn't seem to be an issue on sale day anymore but their postcode checker is almost certainly not programmed correctly to see any possible variation. (there's also Lower Case / Upper Case entries to consider).

Now that could be the explanation for yesterday. It's certainly the only explanation I've seen that explains how a husband & wife resident at the same address had one of the two registrations rejected.

I copied and pasted my postcode from an email seetickets sent me so what I entered was EXACTLY what seetickets had on file. So its not about what people entered. It's their system. If their was nothing wrong why did they close the site early? Something has gone wrong here and we are not talking about one one or two people we are talking about hundreds.

This isn't a 'deleted registration' issue is it and SeeTickets are just putting up the 'Not Local' message?

I suspect this could be part of the problem. I registered some friends this year and it seems they have reused deleted registration numbers as their numbers were less characters than mine. Has anyone who had problems checked their reg number is still valid.
