sloseph
I think the thing with Faithless is while they haven't had any massive hits for quite a while they've got a good enough Greatest Hits catalogue to please a lot of their old fans their No Roots and Forever Faithless were the soundtrack to my early raving days and have always in circulation of the music I listen to if Faithless were to play i'd love to watch them and I know a lot of other people would too, they've got a big nostalgia appeal to them

No roots is about 13/14 years old I think. I have 3 faithless albums. I do like them, but I have seen them on the Pyramid. I'd rather give someone else a go. eFestivals
and all of their 6 studio albums are 'gold' or 'platinum' for UK sales. Three no.1 albums (two are compilations), and very decent chart positions for the others. 15M albums sold (and most of those are in the UK). FuzzyDunlop
Just! one is 9 years & a bit, but yep they have. You were right. I obviously tuned out on them after no roots.
SwedgeAntilles
Faithless are one of those acts I don't feel particularly stronger either way about. Certainly don't dislike them, they've got some decent tunes, but they wouldn't be a priority to see. Fall into 'if I'm near to where they're playing and not clashing with anything else major I'll go along' category

The lead track 'Not Going Home' was big in Ibiza that year and had big remixes from Van Buuren and Prydz. Don't think I'll watch but a mate and his missus went the Manchester Arena show recently and said it was great.

Faithless, whilst a perfectly decent act in their time, I guess, are irrelevant in today's music scene, and are trading solely on the back of Insomnia. That a band can do so, when there are SO many other newer, more inovating bands around who fail to gain any recognition, is a sad indictment on how to be successful in today's music industry (and I suppose it was ever thus...). Ben No they aren't, not at all. Every act has a 'song' that many know them by but they are much more than that.
FuzzyDunlop
In saying what I have said, if they were friday WH, so far (with 99 stages to announce) I'd be there over Muse and LCD.
blue6field
Faithless are a band that I don't listen too much, but as a band at a festival you know they will wheel out the big tunes for an hour and get the place jumping, if there was nothing else on I would be there in a heartbeat. think they'd be great on the west Holts

I'm sure I've seen them, maybe in the middle of the day at V festival many years ago. Sure plenty would be happy enough to see them in the middle of the day on the pyramid or other i don't mind them as mid afternoon slot, not sure would be pyramid as stock has fallen over the years, played academy 1 in Manchester quite a few years ago, this year they played the ruby lounge which isn't much bigger than my front room lol People will remember their songs foe chessy singalong, I can think of worse tbh Edited March 8, 2016 by shoptildrop

Memory Man
would be a sad continuation of the exceptionally safe/boring bookings theme that seems to be surrounding this year's event.... Gnomicide
Faithless are utter bollocks. Shite of the highest order, it's completely beyond me how anyone can get any enjoyment from listening to that guff. Anyway... back to the self confirmations. Rodney Branigan has unsurprisingly been a rumour for a while but his website now has this...

About 8 on the rumors page already I think if you include Rodney as a tbc. Edited March 8, 2016 by thewayiam

I always loved the tearing off tights with my teeth line, even though I was never in any state to even pee in a straight line, never mid do anything with my teeth :-) I like a couple of the Rollo goes tunes, but nothing else really from Faithless.
