Frankee
This may have been asked but I've Googled it as well and can't find a deffinate answer, does the main amnouncement happen before we have to pay the full balance? It's the only year I've managed to get tickets and I'm not rating Coldplay at all or the other rumored headliners, just isn't my thing

Glastonbury has so so much more, I have been twice and would be more than happy to go nowhere near the Pyramid headliners whoever they are. You will see what I am on about if you keep your ticket.
bexj
You need to get yourself online and read a bit more about the festival if you're thinking of chucking your ticket back in because of Coldplay. Or just chuck your ticket and go to one of the bland boring predictable festivals instead.

Over the entire weekend there are THOUSANDS of performances (I'm not exaggerating). If you're thinking of passing up your ticket for three bands, your heart probably isn't in it. Stick the ticket back in the pot for someone who will want it, and go to V.
Frankee
Everyone on this forum is so quick to judge! Fuck me I just asked a simple question! I don't go to v festival mate never have! Its the only big one I haven't done and yes this is my first time going to glasto. I'm not one of those people to go to a festival to do other stuff, I go purely for the music unless it's bestival, that's an amazing place! I'm now gonna receive a load more hate
pie_and_a_pint
Yep, you asked a question. We answered that question honestly. So don't be so rude. If you're really, genuinely thinking twice about a festival that has many, many hundreds of bands across all genres of music over the whole weekend by the announcement of one band and rumours of two more, it may not be the right choice for you. On the other hand, maybe you should stop worrying about who's headlining one stage out of about 100 and concentrate on paying off your ticket and counting down the next 125 days, because if you think Bestival is 'amazing' you're going to be blown away by Glastonbury. You really, really are.

slash's hat
listen to brave sir robins playlist on spotify. As announcements come through it will grow and you will be hard pushed not to find something you like be it old or new. Was my first time last year and wasnt fussed about the headliners once foo fighters dropped out but I had a great time.
Frankee
How was I being rude? Everyone answered was being rude.... Just answer a question without getting cocky and I'm glad to hear that! Make yourself at home here and find out more about Glastonbury, but don't alienate people. If you want answers to your questions you'll get answers. Yoghurt on a Stick
5 hours ago, Frankee said: How was I being rude? I guess it may have been something to do with the specifics of your response to a lady of these boards who is well known for actually being helpful. Not sure if that's chivalry or sexist of me but it's the angle I took on it. Anyway, let's all calm down. If you think Bestival is fab then Glastonbury will truly blow your mind (I have been to both - about 5 Bestivals and about 20+ Glastonbury's - I think!). The place is huge and there's music being performed or played or DJ'ed at every corner you take. However, it's much much more than that again. I would urge you to see some of the other areas, in fact, all of the other areas. There's no harm in just staying at the two main stages all weekend but if you venture further then you'll see and appreciate what others have been trying to say. Trust me on this. I'll not let you down. Have a happy Glasto

Given the drip.............................................drip................drip......nature of this years announcements thus far and found it really interesting. I reminisced about what I ddi see but also checked out what I didn't and started to get excited about making alternative plans and less obvious choices this year. I recommend you pay your full balance, and prepare yourself for one of the best experiences of your life. You can then - like the rest of us - spend countless hours scouring for every little nugget about who is playing, where, when, and planning your trip. Once you get there, your plans will change anyway. But it'll be great.

I compare every festival I go to to Glastonbury and last year I went to Boomtown for the first time. I decided I couldn't compare it to Glastonbury as it was in a different category all together. It is really something else! Glastonbury really has to be experienced to be understood. Getting tickets is difficult and since you have one I hope you use it and have a great time. Glastonbury won't suit you.... Ah for god sake I can't lie, its bloody marvellous, you'll have a great time. Don't worry about headliners, you'll realise how insignificant that are when you're there! I hope the resale is good to me, so I can see y'all there. Enjoy and remember you're so lucky to have a ticket.
