Shite news on the Wilco front. Thought they were definitely gonna be the Sunday Park headliner and I was happy to finish my festival with them

Although he was a rumour for a while Jean Michel Jarre wont be at Glasto this year, he's an exclusive for the bluedot festival at Jodrell Bank

 

...must say bluedot festival is right up my street - must get tickets this week, and will hopefully take the wife and kids too, they are really into science and space, so couldn't think of a better introduction to festivals than that

Disclosure would be very unlikely to play. The only day they could do is Friday but they are doing US festivals in the same week and would have to fly from Oregon on the West Coast on the Thursday (after their performance on Wednesday) to Glastonbury and back to Massachusetts on the East Coast for the Sunday.

I've actually got that very wrong, I was looking at May and not June for some reason. Don't listen to me.

No dates between USA on the 18th and Ireland on the 28th, Glastonbury could be quite likely. Wouldn't think they'd headline R&L, Wildlife as well as Glastonbury though...

What is the likely situation for Pixies and The Strokes? Noticed Strokes are playing New York early June, and Pixies have some Europe dates around June July time, with a London show in early July?

Pixies played in 2014 so I doubt they'd be back so soon and not only would the strokes probably demand a headline slot they just seem to be in it for the money these days and I doubt Glastonbury would pay the fees that the strokes want. Although the strokes on the pyramid would be amazing

Not sure if that's true of The Strokes anymore. I'd imagine they'd be happy enough headlining the Other or subbing the Pyramid. 

That being said there's been nothing to suggest they'll be over here this year or are particularly keen to play Glastonbury. Which is a shame cause they're one of my favourites.

Tbf they did headline the second stage at T a few years back so I could be jumping the gun a bit there but they'd definitely expect a massive fee and it would be more than Glastonbury would be willing to pay for a Pyramid sub or Other headliner
