coreyt409
This year will be my second time at Glastonbury, first time driving. Coming from Wales, is there any guess as to what car park i'll be put into so we can have a rough idea where we can camp? Camped in Lime Kiln last night and loved it! Also, is there much hassle in leaving on the sunday night? (Possibly before the end of Coldplay's set) and stopping overnight in Bristol? Always had a coach to festivals so will be an experience in itself i'm imagining! Thanks in advance!
Dukeicon
You get put in which ever car park they put you in. You can chose East or West car parks (not colour) by the direction you come to the festival. Coming from Wales and wanting to camp in Lime Kilm, you'll need to go M5 > A39 to the festival, directions on here. Generally they fill up Yellow & Orange first. coreyt409
Thank you! I guessed we'd enter the west side for obvious reasons coming from Wales down the M5! We aren't set in stone about Lime Kiln but stayed there last year and it was quiet so we could get away from the noise if need be but still not miles away from anything. Any other campsite suggestions would be great too!

pie_and_a_pint
The trick with leaving on Sunday is to go early (before/during the headliner, although I'm not sure why you'd want to do that) or late (a few hours after the headliner has finished). But not just after the headliner - that's peak time for those who've had enough / have to be at work on Monday to leave. For years we left at around 2 - 3am and hardly saw another soul on the roads. All packed up on Sunday afternoon, stuff in the car (if we could be arsed) or in the lockup nearest to the gate, headliner, wander, watch a few late night things in Theatre and Circus, then out of the gate and gone.
