Here is  a video of the balloon - I am sure I can see the Tor in the distance as it lands!

Matt, I had to tell you that my son loves this video and has been really inspired by it!  The only problem is that he now wants to buy a helium balloon and attach my phone to it, with the camera on.  He's hoping it will be found by someone who will post the footage on YouTube.

(Needless to say, I'm keeping my phone close by at all times...)

Love Madness but have a pooey feeling they will clash with St Paul, if not i,m there! :thumbsu:

The current clashfinder indicates that Madness and St Paul will certainly be up at the same time. Boo-Hoo! At the moment I'm thinking that I am more likely to have the chance to see St Paul at a later date, so will probably opt for Madness. Depends on the mood of the day though, of course. As always, plans change on an hourly basis when actually at Glasto!

I wouldnt take too much notice of clashfinder just yet mate except for roughly 4 or 5 acts. By all means its bloody good to just look at but i dont usually look at it properly until about a week or two before :)

Yes, I never print out the final clashfinder schedule until the very last minute, but it doesn't stop me from looking at it frequently during the build-up so I can drool, plan and get excited about going.

But when Halvin finally says 'Have at it!', hubby and me sit at the kitchen table armed with our respective highlighter pens at the ready to mark out our individual choices of artists and 'the mutuals'. When we get there, of course, it all goes to pot and we, somehow, managed to find each other occasionally when we remember who we both wanted to see.

Fun, innit!

I love Madness too and am almost certain to be there.  A great sing along, some pogo-ing and lots of nostalgia!  (I love the 80s).

Here's the deal.

I hate Madness.  I can't help it and the reason why probably says more about me than is reasonable, but here's why:  When I was 11 I went on a school trip to Great Yarmouth funfair and they shut half the place down to film the house of fun video, so we never got to go on all the big rides.  I have NEVER forgiven them for this and hated them til the end of their recording career.

In 2009 they played the Pyramid and, despite myself, I ended up there and it was one of the most fun gigs I have ever attended.  Madness are a band who are so entertaining live that they can even win over their lifelong enemies.  If they aren't clashing, I'll be there, angrily enjoying myself once again.

I too will be loving madness, but they're also on at Kendall so if someone just as good are playing at the same time, I'll give them a miss.

I went back to work last night after a week off. It was kind of pleasant. A week of nights is a week out of my life. I am allowed not to visit people and answer calls! I love it. Sometimes I curse the day mobile phones were invented.

I need to listen to St. Paul and see if I like them. If there's nothing else I like then I will see madness.

How many fests are you going to?

Nights are a nightmare. I did 6 12 hour nights last week and it is murder trying to turn my body clock around so that I can make it in on days tomorrow.

In the middle of 9 nights out of 11 atm, rare night off tonight \o/

Basically means I'll spend the day doing housework, shopping and falling asleep on the sofa.

I was up ironing bedding at 3am this morning.

You iron your bedding?  You are one of THOSE people? ;)

I have to confess that I have only ironed one item of clothing, once in the last 3 years.  A shirt for a works do.  To be fair, I am the very epitome of scruffiness.

Don't worry about that Spindles. In space nobody can hear you scream, and at Glastonbury nobody can see your scruffiness.

I must have morphed into one mate. My house was like the young ones for many a year. Last 12 months or so, I have started to become a little more house proud. Only a little mind you :-)
