Anyone who thought 2010 was too hot should never go to Benicassim :P Temperatures were pushing 40 celsius every day the time I went. Now I like hot weather but even that was too much for me. Just checked the temps for glastonbury 2010 and I would love similar this year to be honest.

Getting through Gate D that morning was quite possibly my least favourite Glastonbury experience bar none.  And I include the whole of 2007 in that.

I can remember being absolutely soaked dragging mine and my girlfriends stuff  through puddles just after getting through the gate, she always packs too much so i had a back pack on my front, one of my back was dragging a cheap sack truck which was constantly tipping over, every step felt like a huge effort.  I can remember starting to feel a bit sorry for myself and then i just thought 'fcuk it, you're at Glastonbury, it's a bit of rain, things could be worse, cheer up for christ sake'. And i was fine after that.

Eventually got the tent set up, hung up all my damp stuff to dry, cracked open a few cans and had an amazing time after that. Think it rained on and off for most of the day and got pretty muddy, but after i get drunk and start enjoying myself i hardly ever notice. Shorts, wellies and a cheap poncho and you're good to go.

2 questions;

There are lots of different apps and websites for weather. Which ones use different sources? I.e there is no point in downloading the BBC and the Metoffice as they are the same things/ use the same charts. I think accuweather and weather channel are also the same. So which ones should I keep an eye on? Surely there is at the most 4/5 different sources?

Also when does Jackone start?

Probably Meet The Beatles length, something like that.

I made the same mistake as you in 2009.  Number 1 the weekend before the festival, having been a long hair all my life, so my poor scalp had never seen such sights.  I was stuck in the park and ride for hours, with my suncream lost deep in my rucksack and when I finally got on site at 3:30 I was not in a good way.  As soon as the tent was pitched I bought a sunhat but by Saturday it was REALLY uncomfortable to wear.  I didn't blister but the skin damage is still visible to this day where I've since receded.

I'm currently at Let It Be length and coming to terms with the fact that the ever shrinking headland of hair at the front will soon be a lonely island in the sea of scalp and I'll have to go bald with dignity.  For now I say fuck dignity and viva self delusion.

So, the Wednesday is looking rather dogs muck. We still have millions of time to change dont we? Dont we?

The scars getting in and setting up in battering rain in 2011 are still healing for me so i really hope this is just a blip in the weather rollercoaster. Please dear god.

Yeah thats true but again are the BBC actually telling us the truth or is it trademark BBC hiding the more sinister stuff. I dunno why but each year i tend to put a lot of stock into that Norwegian site and its not looking very pretty. Somebody tell me the Norwegian site is just as bad as any other.
