Titters
I hear that Gove has suggested that bad weather at Glasto is a direct result of Britain's ongoing membership of the EU.

They're also better equipped to deal with it in other ways, too. 2014 and 2015, as soon as the heavens opend they had diggers shovelling wood chippings down anywhere that looked like it might turn into a problem spot. I'm content with the odd downpour (like last year), but not sure I can cope with relentless and constant rain every day and night. As you've probably noticed, that question is akin to asking veterans what it was like in 'Nam... It was my first. I have few memories except the rain. I think I can remember seeing two acts, Captain (the first on the old Queen's Head) and The Who. Everything in between is a blur of grey. JoeyT
JackOne or J10 as he's now known will start posting around a month before as shown below. https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/83119-glastonbury-festival-24th-28th-june-2015/ Pedmills produces a handy chart which incorporates the predicted rainfall from a number of weather websites (don't remember when he starts this however) In between times we all try to decipher weather charts we realistically have no idea about. Welcome to the weather thread. Edited April 21, 2016 by JoeyT

Unless it predicts proper wall-to-wall sunshine on the Wednesday for the rest of the weekend, with a really, really firmly entrenched high(or low) over Somerset and most of the country, it's totally up for grabs. I just went on holiday to Brighton for a few days. Said it would rain the next day for a few hours. It didn't rain at all. Normal weather, innit? An acquaintance of mine recently went on a rant - he'd been caught in the rain on his bike after the BBC said there was a slight chance of showers. I pointed out that the BBC had been totally correct in their forecast, to which he replied "A SLIGHT chance!!"

Only on Sunday did it keep raining all the way through the night continually. On the other days, it cleared up for the subs+headliners. For those who went in 2014, but not 2007, imagine the shower in 2014 that closed the stages. Well each shower was almost that bad, but it happened 3 or 4 times a day, every day until the evening when it did tend to dry out for a bit. Apart from the aforementioned Sunday when it just pissed it down continually. Yeah, Sunday was as miserable as hell. The only day I've known where you actually wish you were somewhere else other than the Greatest Place on Earth. Friday and Saturday were ok in the main part, though. The rain wasn't as heavy as the 2014 downpours and it cleared up on those days by mid afternoon. It was just the conditions underfoot that made it hard going. As noted though, the drainage is much improved and the recent plan of spreading wood chippings around the worst areas seems to have helped. 2014 held up really well in those downpours, I thought. The Nal
If it rains for a few days straight the site is fucked. A bit of drainage and some straw won't change that. We're due a mudbath.

djdavejohnson
I'm a bit torn here. I really do want it to be sunny and warm, however if that isn't going to happen then I kinda hope it rains quite bad. For the first time this year I almost missed out on tickets in the resale (after getting them in the general sales in previous years). I want demand to reduce drastically. I don't want to go through that again.
