bd93
Hey I managed to get a place with oxfam stewards this morning but don't actually know anyone else going with them...was just keen to finally get to glastonbury! So was wondering if anyone else is going it alone or maybe as a pair and would be up for getting a group together for camping and to have some plans sorted for the Tuesday when everyone gets there Feel free to drop me a direct message as well as reply here, would be cool to meet some people beforehand Cheers! pie_and_a_pint
I'm not working for Oxfam but I just wanted to say that I volunteered last year on my own and it was absolutely fine - lots of people around and I met some great people so please don't worry about going alone! Clare from Oxfam
Hi there, the Facebook group given above is an unofficial one. The main group for Oxfam stewards has nearly 10K members and is called Oxfam Festivals Team. Look here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/oxfamfestivalsteam In the last few days lots of people have posted about signing up to steward on their own, and you'll see from the responses they got just how friendly the stewarding community is. Nothing to worry about re flying solo, you'll meet tons of great people and not feel like on your own for long at all. It's a good idea to join the group just for the banter, but you'll also find out all the latest news and loads of great festival tips there too. See you at Glastonbury!
