thenavyone
I'm weighing up logistics of kids on a bus. I know there is a paved walkway near the bus station. Is it paved all the way to Wicket does anyone know? Thanks!

tillyandthewall
It's (unchurned) grass to the gate, then it's tracway through Darble.
thenavyone
awesome thanks!
mr gumby
Pretty sure the path along the top of Woodsies to the gate of Wicket is a 'stone and dust' path, so not ideal, but manageable (we did it last year with a garden trolley). acidstorm523
Have you got coach package already? We have got them in the resale before, but then there were no extra seats for our kids on the coach!
thenavyone
No we haven't we are hoping to get some in the realise. But now we aren't sure what to do because See said there might not be seats for the kids What did you do with your kids in the end? One of my kids will only be 7 wish weeks old but still need a seat apparently
acidstorm523
In the end, after trying to negotiate with see, there was nothing they could do obviously. But we took a van with the kids in, and the lead Booker went on the coach to collect tickets. We all turned up at the coach at 7 am, and I explained the situation and had the emails printed out. Driver was not 100% happy but let my husband go with the kids. He met us at the service station where the coach made a statuary stop, and I hopped of the coach and got in the van. As it happened, he gave out the tickets before we set off, and I could have got off then, but I wouldn't rely on that. Worst case would be he wouldn't give you the second ticket, one person would "miss" the coach and have to collect their ticket up at the box office, but it would be hours of trekking around. thenavyone
It's a bit annoying as we are only coming from Bristol and my kids are 3.5 and 7ish weeks so they could easily sit on our laps! I think I'm going to try for them in the resale and then go from there. I wonder if they would refund them if See couldn't book the kids a seat? I don't really want me and 1 child on the bus and my husband and 1 child in a car as we'd be at opposite ends of the festival! But i do badly want a ticket! acidstorm523
I could pretty much guarantee there won't be seats on the coach in my experience..they seem to aim to be completely full with ticket holders. But as I say, you can find out where the coach makes its toilet stop and meet your husband there..it's got to be worth it. Let him take both the kids though, you don't want to be faffing around with a child, and there is no need for one to go on the coach? thenavyone
yeh that's a good idea or me take the baby incase he needs a feed. We'll have to play it by ear. I don't think the Bristol coach stops anywhere though, or not that I remember?
Michaels denim shorts
It involves a bit of a detour & ignoring the routes the festival set up but he could aim for gate A in a car & meet you as you get off the bus. I have a friend who ignores the blue route & ends up over the other side every year (he is rather large & lazy) & doesn't fancy the hike in from the east car parks with heavy gear & there's no stops from Bristol, it's direct
acidstorm523
Ah, no stop, fair enough. Or can you drive with the kids and he takes the coach? I have no idea if they would let you take a baby on the coach on your lap..might be worth asking see before so you can make the right person the lead booker. acidstorm523
Express milk for him to take in the car?
thenavyone
See basically said there might be a seat there might not. I could totally take both the cherubs down with me and husband get the coach, if coach driver will give husband my ticket? If we had got through on general ticket sales the plan was for me to bring 4 kids as my mates would have gone down Tuesday night to get us into Cockmill. But none of us got tickets this year they aren't trying for coach tickets just general resale but I'm trying both.
acidstorm523
Definitely try for both! And I'd say go straight for the Thursday rather than Wednesday to give yourself a better chance. Make husband the lead booker..just the first name on the list. Doesn't matter whose name the card is in. Then he can collect tickets on the coach. I would all go together in the morning to meet the coach so the driver can see you and you can explain before he sets off, then just follow down in the car or whatever..
