Well done to everyone who is losing weight, I seem to have hit a weight loss plateau so just concentrating now on getting fitter.

This morning I did 35 minutes on the stationary bike and then caught the train to work and walked the final two miles, if I survive the walk back to the station tonight I will also be going to zumba.

after starting myfitnesspal again last week I fell off the wagon on sat. Cousin was down for rugby so was 6-8 pints of thatcher / Stowford and takeaway fish n chips :(   (although it was :) as they were ansum) didnt log details.

went for a 3m walk up the carn yesterday to offset some of it. Back on it again today.

good luck all!

ps going to weigh myself in town at lunch time - gulp

Even if you fall off off... you should still track.  In doing so you may inadvertently curb a bad day from becoming an even worse day...  being more mindful is half the battle.

Cheers Peroni (was going to say Si Baronne but you look too young to get that!).

I did it religiously last year so am able to roughly judge what I total each day, which is why I turned down late night toast as knew I was near limit before I entered yesterdays details.  I don't mind having a blow out occassionaly - next one will be in 3 weeks.

Enjoy your US trip but mind American portions !!

I've had a bad back for ages - can walk and run fine but standing still for long periods or walking really slowly like round a museum and my lower back starts to hurt.  Boyfriend finally convinced me to see the physio by pointing out that Glastonbury was coming up and there'd be lots of slow walking and standing around.  Physio has recommended pilates and had my first class on Saturday.  Will use Glastonbury as my motivation to do my exercises every day.  If standing still causes back ache will have to do enthusiastic dancing around to all acts, even the slow numbers!

Good to read other peoples progress, & motivating.

Another week... Kept my gym streak going & swam for 60 mins four mornings before breakfast. Kept the dog happy by giving him a 60 min walk every evening. Stayed off the drink until weekend. Ate well & recorded all in MFP (apart from all you can eat breakfast buffet on Saturday which I’d planned to do!)

Promised myself a pasty when I've got through the gates and put the tent up - none until then!

Lost 2lb this week. 11lb to go over next 8 weeks. Keen to get this figure lower than 1lb per week.

Muscle is more dense than fat (vs being heavier as weight is weight) so it takes up less space... so you will appear leaner even though you may weigh the same or more.

Yes yes!! I couldn't agree with that more!  Takes time to build lean muscle up.  Not something that happens over night.   Weight should only be used as a guide!  It's inches gained and lost in the right places that are more important for progress.  Plus take photos at regular intervals.

I always have a tough decision in the mornings, as I get in to the bus station, Greggs is on my left, Co Op is on my right. If I go to Greggs I'd end up having 500+ calories easily, instead go to Co Op and grab a sugar free water and a cereal bar or fruit. 250 calories at least saved just from one decision :)

Cycled home from work and was locked out as no kids were home - son had extra revision lessons and daughter had gone out with friends (both assuming I had key). Waiting for Son to come home went around back to sit in the garden and quiet the dogs down tried the back door and it was unlocked (daughter had forgotten to lock it).

She phones up later wanting picking up so drive to get her and bang clutch cable (I thought) goes on car. leave car and run RUN! to meet her (mainly downhill I'll add). walk back to car 20 mins and await recovery.

that sounds like a bloody nightmare Cornish, hope the car doesn't cost you too much

I went for my first run since January last night and really enjoyed it, I'd been dreading it a bit because I've been out of it so long but it was great, managed a full 10 minutes until I had to stop, hopefully I can get back in the swing of it and build that up again

my legs are feeling it today

I downloaded the Stronglifts 5x5 app on my phone so I can start weightlifting at the gym without having no idea what I'm doing. Did my first workout using that and a spin class this morning. Great start to the day!

Ouch! The things people do to lose a bit of weight....I left my husband two years and dropped a stone in 6 weeks from the stress.

Now that's dedication... (I hope you're doing ok though?).

I am on a healthy eating kick these days - it's only been about a week and half so far but it's going alright. Haven't got scales but I do have a pair of denim shorts that are incredibly snug that hopefully won't be so tight-fitting in two months' time!

If it's a good gym (not the budget kind) you will be far better off asking for an instructor to show you what to do rather than relying on an app. They will be able to give you a good all round programme designed for your goals rather than a generic app.

Will cost about 82p hopefully - its a known fault and just needs replacement plastic clip on the clutch pedal phew.

And my legs are feeling it from the 5 min run !
