Worthy View Pedestrian Gate

Hello all!

I have some friends crashing in worthy view this year, I know the usual procedure to leave via a pedestrian gate... But am I right in thinking worthy view is outside the superfence but the exit / entrance is not a 'pedestrian gate' ? Does anyone have experience of leaving the fence to get to worthy view and back in.. Or is this not allowed? :scratchhead:

Cheers!

Yeah, it's different. I'll describe the situation in 2015 - it could change this year but probably won't.

They get given a special wristband, that's different from the General Public ones in 3 important ways -

1. It's marked as being from Worthy View, and access to WV is restricted to people who have this.

2. It's an EPO (Easy Pass Out) wristband. This means that whenever they go through gates, they just need to show the wristband, they don't have to worry about showing their ticket or getting/providing a pass-out.

3. The last couple of years the WV EPO wristbands have visually been extremely similar to Staff EPO wristbands - so they may be able to blag their way into Staff bars.

Cheers! Looks like they can't take anyone back to their tent then!

You get to WV by a pedestrian gate at the top of Pennards behind the tipi village. Once through you are technically outside the fence but it is just the hill in between you and WV then and there are stewards milling about at the bottom and top checking wrist bands. I believe that there are shuttle buses running from the coach drop off area by gate A up to the WV entrance but again you wont get through if you dont have the right wrist band. They say in the gumph they send out that you cant take anyone else back to your tent.... Its the first rule of WV club :)

Can confirm - ended up in an awesome little staff bar somewhere in Block9 on the Wednesday night (I think!) last year!
