My boyfriend and I arrived on the wednesday afternoon and had only slight issues with traffic. Our only problem was that we were parked in the furthest possible carpark, it was a hot long walk! We camped in Baileys and walked straight into the festival (no queues to get in) and found a great spot, it was reasonably full but we were right on the edge of the campsite. The later you arrive the further away you'll park, but shouldn't have problems with entry queues! Have a safe journey and wicked time! ^_^

Thanks for the replies people ... So West side of festival , gate A, wickett camp site...That's that settled..

..now has anyone got any specific tips regarding the wickett field.... Is there preferable areas to set up or is it all much same... Am travelling with 2 kids (15 and 11)... And to be honest except for a few camping weekends at TITP back in the day....av no idea what to expect

The last couple of years I've  arrived later on the Wednesday and pretty much driven straight in and not queued at all at the gates. Last year we arrived at about 6-7 pm and camped in Wicket, there was still plea my of room, it's generally one of the least populated camping fields (although there will be changes this year that may reduce the size  slightly. The field itself is flatter near the bottom entrance and more sloped as you get move away so best to camp more towards the bottom (this has the added benifit of being closer to the toilets and water points. It's also a really lovely place to camp, both the times I've camped there the field has been immaculate on the Monday morning, and the campsite crew also do fantastic work keeping the toilets in a good condition all weekend.

In terms of travel if you're coming from Yorkshire you should go M1>A/M42>M5 come off at junction 23 onto the A39 towards Glastonbury town, from here you will pick up the signs to the festival and you will end up in the west car parks for gate A
