Camping Toilets & Toilet Tents

You don't mention whether you're camping or staying in a campervan. I'm not sure having a toilet tent in public camping would be a terribly good idea...

If you are camping as opposed to staying in a van, there are loads of decent, clean, well maintained loos in all of the campsites. Unless you've got very small children with you I suspect having a camping toilet to deal with will be more trouble than it's worth.

Sorry should have stated. CV field.

I've kind of talked myself out of the idea in the short time since posting.

I've never CVd at Glastonbury so I don't know what the loos are like in the CV fields, although I suspect you'd want something 'en suite' on or near your van - otherwise navigating through fields to the lav in the middle of the night kind of negates the point of the luxury of having a van!

We had a toilet tent with a portapotti chemical toilet when we had a trailer tent. Seemed to work fine and had no unasked for visitors..But, like the toilet in the caravan, we had a 'No number twos' rule.  That was for the site portaloos.
