Castle Cary shuttle on Thursday

Hi, I usually go to Glasto early on Wed but am going later this year. From past experience, has anyone got any ideas how long the queues will be at Castle Cary for the shuttle around 3/4pm on the Thursday? Also, any queues to get on site around that time? Thanks v much!

I've only arrived at Castle Carey on a Thursday afternoon once and that was in 2008. Unfortunately there had been a fire near the site and the resultant jams meant that instead of leaving when there was a bus load, all the shuttles were were being parked up and then escorted in convoy past all the traffic. Which obviously means it was far from a normal year for the shuttle buses.

But even with all the shuttles arriving on site at once the queue at the gate was pretty short. You should be able to get in even quicker in a normal year.

I doubt there'll be any queues at all at that time. The bus will be there to meet the train and you should sail through gate A.
