Worthy View Podpad

Managed to blag a worthy view 2-man podpad this year - anyone stayed in one up there before? Done Worthy View before but only in tents. Anyone got any thoughts/experience of their podpad -size/setup/equipment etc?

Stayed in one last year. A bench on either side with single airbed on, floor space in the middle - my daughter slept in that space, and can put bags under your bed. There is a compartment thing for bit of storage. You cant stand up straight in one but does the job.

Assume they are all set up as 2 singles? Offer any decent soundproofing for a goods nights kip? Come with a smoke alarm or anything?

Do the airbeds have sheets/pillows or am I on my own there? Anything else you'd recommend bringing to make the space comfortable?

Taking an international flight to get to glasto, so I need to preserve as much packing space as possible.

Never had an issue @ 8am - not sure how long queues are at peak time.

May I ask how much your pod pad cost and what facilities you get for it? I've looked into them before and wasn't convinced.

That lock seems pointless - can't you just reach through window and unlock from inside? Pretty crammed in - get much audible noise from neighbours?

That's a mirror on the front door.

noise from neighbours, it's made of plywood so not much better than a tent. The interesting thing was, where they were fit tight together, if someone at the end of the row turned in their sleep - my walls moved 3 pods down !  The beds are narrow.

im camping this year, mainly because the walk back up the hill to WV was horrendous.  Far worse than the hill of death.  Thankfully only done it once a day as kept supplies in a lockup on site.

Haha, essentialy that's just what it is. Will keep the morning sun off you though so can get a lie in. Yes you can hear the neighbours but if you're that sozzled you won't care.

Yeah had a bad experience of 2hrs sleep each night last year in a 4 man bell tent - group of 4 next door up till 5 (I'm old and miserable and need my sleep - haha)

To me if you want to still be at it till 5am, you should be down amongst it, not back up in worthy view. My thoughts this year were podpad might offer less chance of this as groups of 2 less likely to be up all night and wood thicker than canvas - I think I'm kidding myself!!!
