Children & wristbands

Hello All,

I am bringing my cousin who is 12 years old for the first time! 

Just wondered if he will receive a wristband?  I know he will be gutted if he doesn't!

If he is going free then sorry he won't get one. Mine was upset last yr...for all of 5 minutes when they were just overawed at the sights! Buy him a t-shirt or something from the craft fields instead perhaps.

We took 2 under 12's in 2013 and they were gutted they weren't getting a wristband. We got some wiite ribbon before we left and made a couple up for them with some fabric pens.

Unless you're staying in worthy view, in which case they do. 

Bought my son a surfy-style bead bracelet with my mobile number on it (numbers on the beads) which he loved as well.

Kids Field will be able to supply a wristband of sorts (lost & found kind of thing)

Being 12, I'd recommend taking some ID too, just in case their age gets disputed at the gates...

I thought it was a high possibility that he wouldn't get one! Never mind I know when he actually finds out he's going (the day we leave) he will be way too excited to worry! 

Will definitely be getting him plenty of other stuff but I remember when I took him to reading last year and he didn't get a wristband he wasn't impressed! 

Never mind he's at the best festival in the world and he's sure to have an amazing time!

I'm taking mine and he's not even that fussed, in fact he is distinctly worried about crowds. Cherry - are you aiming for Wicket?

my kids were never bothered about wrist bands at the festival (too much to do and see) but liked to have ours at the end so they could wear them for a while when they got home and then pin them up in their rooms as a souvenir. Eldest still has them all and he is 19 now.

Keeping it a secret has been easy actually. We told him I didn't get a ticket! (Which I didn't until last weeks secret resale). 

We keep dropping hints about how we would love to take him but schools are strict now with time off! 

Bless him I know he will be really excited and the wristband thing won't last long. Think I will have a look at eBay and order him some kind of band.

Sorry forgot to reply! 

Not aiming for wicket unfortunately. I camp in spring ground and can't be without the facilities they offer.

i don't think my cousin will worry about crowds he will be more worried about me holding his hand like a vice for 5 days!
