Anyone else caught this on Amazon Prime, or eh, elsewhere?

As someone who has read the comics I was extremely wary about the whole project, but I have to say, two episodes in and I'm absolutely loving it. Casting of Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy seems to be spot on and they're doing an excellent job of balancing the tone.

Usually DC are savvy to the trades market, but in a blunder you'd expect from the buffoons in Marvel's trades department, Preacher is out of print at the moment. There's a reprint coming in April, but not a nice little £10 paperback that casuals can pick up in Waterstones, a big fat oversized hardback at an RRP of £110 that only hardcore nerds will want. Great work.

Ive the set of six (?) hardbacks. May start a re-read tonight if the youngfleh has stopped vomitting everywhere.

I'd definitely give it a go if those were on sale now, I have a few of those Vertigo hardcovers and I tend to find the quality of them is really good. At the moment it looking like Abosolute edition or nothing.

Started watching the series a while ago but stopped for some reason despite loving it. Anyway, picked it up again last night at episode 6, the fight at the beginning is one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Well, since the pilot episode.

Didn't know about Steve Dillon until I'd opened this thread, awful news.

Shit, Steve Dillon's just died :(

Too young and too sudden. I'm not sure of the cause, but he's not been known to be ill; he was actively working on a monthly series and had con appearances scheduled for next month. Really iconic artist, a giant in the industry.

terrible news
