Well Arsenal beating City was fun. Can't pretend we deserved it, but it was the best we've played in ages. Hopefully the team can carry this on to the end of the season now. Still expect Chelsea to do the double.

Watched most of the second half El Classico, and what a game! Great attacking play, goals, and entertainment, but some of the defending was pretty awful. Real having nobody in front of the back 4 in the last minute of the game is nothing short of lunacy. All to play for now over there.

Looks like it'll either be Hull of Swansea for the drop, although Burnley probably need a point to be sure. Hull probably have the easier games, and a two-point lead as it stands. Considering they only had something like 14 players at the start of the season, it's nothing short of remarkable that Hull could remain a Prem side at the end of the season.

Arsenal played well second half. They took advantage of a tiring City and made us pay.

It is bent as fuck though. The decisions going against us time and time again is very fishy. City should have been out of sight before Arsenal even got a look in. There is no excuse for getting the Aguero penalty nor the disallowed goal wrong. As for allowing the Arsenal players to blatantly kick our players from behind, it was nothing short of disgraceful. Just because it is early in the game does not mean a yellow card should not have been awarded. The Arsenal players took it in turns to kick Silva from behind and none of them got booked for it. Different game if Silva stays on the pitch.

Shame for City, it really is the end of an era with time needed to be called on the last on the Mancini generation. Results have not been great this year but performances have been far better than under Pellegrini last season.

Tough game on Thursday as United will be well up for it. Liverpool getting beat yesterday means we can afford a defeat and still qualify for the champs league. We need to go for the win though, can't afford to give United any more motivation.

Totally agree with the penalty, should have been given. The goal I could understand a bit, because it was SO close, but it's a still a decision that went against you. What makes it worse is Howard Fucking Webb on commentary saying that a yellow card isn't a yellow card if it's early in the game. What sort of bullshit is that? All fans want is consistency.

On any other day you could won though; you did hit the woodwork twice after all. Both teams missed good chances later on in the game.

Yes, although the future does look bright in attacking areas. If Pep sorts his defense and Gundogan comes back to play alongside Fernandinho you'll be very dangerous next season. Those top quality defensive players are hard to find though.

Not sure what sort of team Utd can put out now. Jones, Smalling, Mata, Rojo, Zlatan, Pogba and maybe Valencia all out. Thats 7 of the first 11 all out. Was fine against Burnley who didn't offer much. Worrying stuff.

You're not going to like it but I'm going to disagree with you both. Didnt think either penalty appeals (Aguero or Sanchez) were penalties. But City have every right to be pissed off at the dissallowed goal in my opinion. How you give something like that is what i struggle with - its clearly a guess from the lino in which case he shouldnt be giving anything.

And I thought in general the ref was consistently inconsistent towards both teams.

 Worrying stuff.

Interesting stuff.

Squeaky bum time n all that. Will Utds money (which in theory equates to good depth of squad) and Jose's managerial skills (the reason he was brought in) win through?

Suppose Utd are in luck its LFC, City and the Gunners they are competing with. All of who are well capable of fucking up royally in the run in.........

All of the teams up top apart from Spurs and Liverpool spent a fair bit of cash last year. Klopp sold 13 and brought in 6.

But yeah you'd hope the depth of the squad helps. But the Europa is a real drain on any squad. If Utd lose on Thursday I think we'll see the kids/subs played in the league for the remaining games.

Huge pressure on City though as they don't have a route into the CL via the Europa. No trophies and no CL isn't a runner there anymore is it?

I suspect Pep is probably one of the few managers who could get away with it, with an aim of changing the culture of the club. City have been pretty much constant underachievers since they hit the jackpot. Even the 2 championships they should have won easier and nearly buggered up both.

Get In. Leeds fans all biting at my comments on twitter about it being a shite league hahah

So satisfying to secure it with our own victory as well. Not the best of performances first half, but good goals. Mitro did great.

Probably wont see Sturridge in red again. Its a damn shame he has had so many injury issues but its more than that I suspect also. I dont see Klopp wanting him about the place...........When he was firing on all cylinders he was unstoppable. The year he partnered Suarez was unreal.

Wasn't that more about Suarez? Giving Sturridge more space.

nah, I wouldn't say so. Sturridge was banging them in at the start of that season when Suarez was still banned.

To the extent I can remember TGT saying that Suarez's return wouldn't see more goals than Sturridge was banging in.

Which ever way you want to analyze it was still about Sturridge not being injured heavily, banging in a shed load of goals in a season. If the "getting more space" theory is right Sturridge still had to put the ball in the net and time and time again that season he did so very impressively (and on numerous occasions without Suarez on the pitch)

Neil are you getting excited about the potential return to the football league of Aldershot? Note I don't think they will get through the play offs, which means they almost certainly will!

not getting excited, they've got the least chance from their league position.

Quite surprised at how they've picked up tho, so maybe they're on a bit of form and it might go well-ish for them. Tough tough league to get out of.
