We (LFC) will find a way to lose against West Ham. The only bit of saving grace is that I can't see Arsenal winning all their games, either. It'll be a close call between Liverpool and Arsenal. Man City will be fine.

Surely the January shit show at Anfield means they have to spend a bit of cash this summer. The stand is paid for now right?

I think it's likely that the stand had a part in the no-spend last summer, and there's plans to do the Kop end now so I'm not entirely sure the wallet will get opened ... tho if they do qualify for the Chumps I'd guess it's more likely to.

Good final though. I'd trade spots with Utd all day long for a chance at another (pisspot) trophy. Utd's season this year mirroring LFC's last - bar the fact you'll prolly win both trophies of course.

When you look at the history of European football it is the team in 6th place in total European cup wins against the team in 7th place. From a historical perspective I think this is the biggest final for quite a while.

Not unless they dig up the road? Last time I was up for the cup game one of yours said it was all a bit vague (the plans for that end), to the point I wondered whether it was even happening. 

I hope they do, it needs doing - that stand is now one of the worst in the league in terms of views for away fans - I'm thinking in particular of getting stuck in one of the sections behind the goal that actually face into the main stand and are outside of the width of the pitch.

Indeed. Utd are still in that position in the league though!

True but the CL can be a poor standard too.

When Utd got to the CL final in 2011 it was Rangers, Valencia, Bursaspor, Marseille, Chelsea and Schalke. Fergie even played a 2nd string team against Schalke in the 2nd leg of the semi final!

Its a shit stand, fully agree with you. Home fans also. Legroom none existent unless youre an extra from the Ewok Village.

No one can begrudge Utd for winning the competition. Lot of their fans denigrating the same tournament last year when LFC were in it (and many previous years of course) raises eyebrows. Now its a super buzz though. Everyones chuffed with it.

I really hope Ajax win it though. To me they are one of those teams that have been priced out of the champions league .
