Ironically, the away 'end' at Everton is one of very few that is worse than Anfield in terms of view, legroom etc - yet Goodison and Anfield are up there in my favourite away grounds....

They were all shite in the CL. Apart from Chelsea, and Barca obviously.

Schalke had just thrashed the holders Inter (in the quarters). I think you are forgetting that Schalke had a quality side back then that included the likes of Raul and Neuer.

Well, looks like Arsenal are finishing out of the top 4 for the first time in years. Hopefully the silver lining will be some change at the club.

They were though, you could say the same about Newcastle last year if Rafa had kept them up. Its no guarantee.

After that initial set of bad results their run in looked terrible. Ok squad yes but its the Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal results that have kept them there with a game in hand.
