Contract. On the last contract ITV bought the terrestrial rights and a bit more, while Sky bought the rest. BT bought out the entire set of CL rights this time, so they are contractually obliged to show a certain number of games (I think 12?) including the final for free. They did 3 right at the start of the season but I don't know which other ones they did.

30 years old and seemingly as fit as you can be. Unreal! 

 

Was a top player that year Newcastle finished 5th, tough tackler, guaranteed booking. Shame his performances fell way short in the end.

Will always be remembered for that unbelievable goal vs Arsenal and the other screamers that got wrongly chalked off.

Cisse's goals got the acclaim, but he produced an utter masterclass in our 2-0 win at Chelski that season. Imperious at his best, but didn't maintain that season's standards and consistency afterwards.

apparently not ... tho dick van dyke is one of the hottest out there, so if they land him it's quite a statement.

They've also picked-up a hot kid from Chelski, who turned down a whopping contract from them to join a team where he might get to kick a ball now and then.
