big__phil
I watched the Arsenal game (obviously), and I think the first half we played even better than we did against Chelski. Some really good games last night by the sounds of things. Plenty of goals in Europe, and Newcastle with a dramatic late turnaround as well. Drama all over the place! Yeah agree with you on the first half. Could and should have been about 5 or 6 at half time. Where has this form of Walcott come from? Barring his finishing (although the keeper did make a couple of good saves) Sanchez is on absolute fire at the moment - and when you have so many players getting beyond him I'll readily admit I was wrong to think he shouldnt be played up top. City looking like they are already missing De Bruyne? I only saw the goals so cant comment on their performance, seems strange that Stones didn't play for me though. I'd say Ozil looks the happiest he ever has in an Arsenal shirt - I mean its hard to tell because he has a naturally grumpy demeanor, but he looks like he's loving the partnership with Sanchez currently - plus reports of him convincing Mustafi to join wouldnt suggest he's in any hurry to leave. He's been far from a shoddy player in the past when he's had a decent run. It's Wenger pissing about with selecting him plus of course the many injuries which makes him seem an iffy player. If reports are to be believed, he's just about to sign a new contract. Totally agree with @mjsell, you can really see he's enjoying the current system. Having the mobility of Iwobi, Sanchez and Walcott around him must be a dream, especially with Cazorla and Xhaka confident enough to play accurate passes through the lines to him where he can be dangerous. 55 minutes ago, eFestivals said: from getting a decent run of games, I'd guess. When he's confident he can be the player that we all want him to be. In 2012/13 he scored 14 and assisted 10 from 24 starts (and 8 apps from the bench), so the quality has always been there. It's just since then he's been either injured or out of form. You can see he's much better at decision making now as well, and having a very good attacking full back overlapping helps his game significantly. big__phil
Where shall I put my money this weekend then? Bolasie anytime goalscorer tonight is around 2/1. Liverpool to win by 2 or more might be a decent punt as well, considering Swansea's recent form.
mungo57
just saw the mighty Watford FC have Federico Macheda on trial....... does anyone remember him? One good game for Utd then fucked off to oblivion! Personally I don't understand why we would want him at all, we must have at least 4 strikers that are betterthan him! Aye, most enjoyable game I`ve seen in ages. The 2 new guys up front look to be real finds and the most involved I`ve seen Brown and Forrest for a while although I don`t see that many your games. Was really pleased for Gordon with that last minute save and fair play to Rodgers bringing on 2 attack minded players near the end with the game sitting at 3-3. If you match or better the German team in the games against them then you should be good for european football after Christmas which would be decent out of that group. Great scenes with the refugees welcome sign as was mentioned above

Yeah, not sure about that really. I guess with the time of year you're restricted to players who aren't with a club, but still - surely not a good enough player for the Prem. There's always Adebayor... Personally I want Success to play more, if only for the headline writers!

As much as I love good old Iggy, he is clearly out of form and couldn't get into the game at all (Ighalo I mean) - should be a no brainer for Mazzarri to drop Iggy and use Success at the weekend. He has a great name too, Isaac Success This is a good time to be a Watford fan in my eyes, we finally have some great players and have a good chance if he can get the team to gel to break the top 10 this year. And I firmly believe that Troy Deeney needs to be called up for England. Miles better than Rooney, never knows when to give up and plays with passion. Also turned down Champions League with Leicester to stay with us which is great to see - not very many loyal players out there any more. Wonga usually talks nowadays. Not sure about that Bolasie punt, odds dont seem great for someone that doesnt actually score many goals. Now I've said that though he'll probably bang in a couple. eastynh
The Raheem haters seem to have quietened down a little on here :-D Great game against Celtic the other night. City shown great character to come from behind 3 times and should have won it really but Celtic played out of their skin. Fair play to Kolo. Thats the quietest I have ever seen Aguero play in all the time he has been at City. Tough match against Spuds on Sunday. We got fucked over by the officials in both matches against them last season (Think it was Clattenburg in both). Would be nice to get one over on them, but I would snap your hand off now if you offered a draw.

I think that's the performance of the season so far, Arsenal>Chelsea and City>Man U both had the losing team playing badly (at least in the first half). mjsell
Yep Spurs were phenomenal, City just couldnt live with them. Ironically Spurs reminded me of Barca under Pep when it came to the sheer pressure they placed on City when they had the ball. City massively missed the calmness of De Bruyne on the ball - he has the ability to always look like he has time - whereas Fernando, Fernandinho et al looked completely fear stricken. kaosmark2
I rate Fernandinho, but Fernando seems incredibly mediocre. I don't think I've ever seen him control a game in any way, be it with tackling or passing.

kaosmark2
Doubt it, most managers come from the merry-go-round. Especially at Villa. Bruce being linked seems hilarious to me.
