Went to the Olympic stadium for the athletics. I'm struggling to imagine it being a good stadium for football.

Regarding Liverpool transfer activity,  I'm a bit disappointed at present.  I hoped a higher profile manager like Klopp may help attract a better standard of player.  However looking at the signings,  most would have probably signed for Rodgers as well.

Same. He's bought bang average or potential. So far...

Still time for things to change, there's more than a month of the window yet so am reserving judgement.

I'm more intrigued about how Klopp will do with a full pre-season getting all the players used to his system. I'm not fussed about the lack of big names, none of the Dortmund stars were big names before he brought them in.

Is it that Klopp cant attract the "big names" or that the LFC coffers cant. I suspect its the latter more so

Klopp aint Mourinho. He has not had to lean heavily on mega money and big name signings in the past to bring his successes. I will be very interested to see what he can do with "his squad"

well, supposedly he's attractive enough to have a player turn down spurs and everton in preference, from what I've just read about Wijnaldum

He also said Liverpool showed the most interest in him as opposed to the other two. "I was waiting to show what interest Everton showed in me but Liverpools was greater".

But yeah, people want to play for him of course. More so than Woy or Bren.

The fact that's even a discussion point says an awful lot.

 - well, yeah, he's not the sort of player I'd have been hunting if I was klopp, tho perhaps he's been paying closer attention than I have.

But, he's still a player that found Klopp a more attractive proposition than he did other managers.

And if Klopp is the manager people reckon, it'll be a great signing because he'll only make great ones :P

(no, I'm not thinking he's god, but plenty are).

Christ yeah missed all that. Obviously needs to sign a few now!

Only a left back now I think. The squad still seems a bit big with no european football. Lucas will probably leave and I'd be offering Lallana around, personally.

Lallana's an interesting one imo. A lot has been made of his lack of end product but his all game works really well under Klopp's system. He's fully bought into the high pressing system and links up really well with Coutinho and Firmino, and only 2 or 3 played featured in more games than him so Klopp obviously likes him as a player. I'd be very surprised if he was sold but can see him being pushed down the pecking order.

And am I they only person who rates Moreno? Defensive positioning needs a lot of improvement but he's still young (just turned 24 this month) and is brilliant in attack.

Moreno needs a fair bit of work on his defensive side of his game TBF. If he can tighten it up a bit he could be a tidy enough player, but way too many times he is responsible for the area on the pitch where the other team get a fair bit of work done

LFC may need a centre half or two also with who is injured, who they have sold and now with Sakho getting sent home from the USA trip for an apparent attitude issue (doesn't sound good there)

I know they've bought one (I forget the name), tho I know they've lost two (Stkrtl, and Toure).

So loads of peeps said this time last year, Joe Gomez's future is as a centre back and not left back so maybe he's part of the plan ... tho I read recently something about him having a set-back in his recovery from injury, so i'm not sure he's due to play any time soon.

They bought Ragnar Klavan who will get his first action against Chelski this week in the US. They also got Matip who is a defensive midfielder but can play centre half too (he is injured at the moment).

Gomez is for sure going to be looked at as a centre half at some point but in trying to recover from his ACL injury he went a did his achilles in and wont be back too soon and will for sure miss the start of the season

I somehow feel it will be a season long watch to see if Klopp can get a defense in place and settled

Edit - Why they want Flanagan out on loan is beyond me. The guy may be best placed to fill in some gaps that crop up and he ain't too shabby IMO once he stays injury free

Saw Flanagan on a night out in Liverpool once, let's just say that several of his 'injuries' may well have been similar to those of Andy Carroll.

i have to say I think Klopp has done very well in this window, had a clear aim to get rid of deadwood, in which there was an outrageous amount, and he has got in some better players than they have lost, I don't see how he could do much more.

Providing that their defence settles in together (Matip isn't badly injured - and I imagine will partner Lovren as the first choice pairing) then I think their team has got a lot of threat to it. My question mark still revolves around centre-forward. Sturridge's last chance this season?

I hadn't realised they were trying to loan him, but it's mad. He's the best right or left back at the club.

Tho they're over-staffed there, so maybe he's lucky he's not being sold. I see Brad Smith is about to go (another good bargain for B'mouth, i reckon).

i reckon - tho he seems happy-ish. The rumours he'd be off dried up around the same time he started looking happy on the pitch.

I'm looking forwards to seeing Origi develop some more as he was really starting to fire, and Ings is back.

If they can get a few quid for Mario and money back on Benteke it won't have been a bad clear-out, with over £100m coming in.

Yeah like I said have been impressed with Liverpool this window. I think Benteke to Palace will surely happen, it just suits all parties - and I think he could have a good season there as long as his confidence isn't shot. Other Prem option for him are Swansea I guess, they need a centre forward desperately - not sure he suits them quite so well though.
