If he was breaking that rule for Glasto it would suggest to me that Other headliner is more likely that Pyramid sub then.

That's a good point. Not really thought of that. Does remain to be seen whether that's true in Europe but if it does turn out that Bon Iver is top dog at all the festivals then that's something we can cling to.

That would be ideal. Radiohead on Friday, Bon and the lads on Sunday and somebody a bit Justice-y on WH on Saturday night

This is what I'm hoping for, although I'm becoming ever excited at the thought of Flaming Lips on Sunday at The JP tent, which would leave me in a predicament!

10 night NYC residency getting underway as The New Yorker observes here..

love the bit about the Uber chase and bomber jacket post-show...I'll be trying for the finale next wednesday...

The Nal got me into them when he invited me to a dinner party and had the first 2 albums played on shuffle/repeat...

Aren't people too optimistic about them playing Glastonbury when Eaux Claires is happening the week before?

definitely throws a kink into things and i was a bit worried right when the Primavera confirmation came in as well as that was quite early in the summer and meant they'd have to be here for quite a few weeks. I'm counting on Glasto being special enough for him to pop over again just for it....

for fans of The National I'd be a bit concerned too, as the Dessner are usually heavily involved in the curating of Eeax Claires too so that means most of them will be there if not the full band. Festival was quite fine being in August, why did it have to be moved week before Glasto?!!

The Dessnae are launching a Danish festival in August so that might be to do with them moving Eaux Claires. Not expecting The National to tour though - maximum just the two festivals that they put on as it's an inexpensive headliner for your own fest init.

Their Denmark festival, Haven, is in August so expect The National in Europe around then.

Could have an end of June start and start of August finish for a European leg but I cant see it. Unfortunately :(

How many people reading this wet the bed last night?

With it being office Christmas party season it's probably the wrong time to carry out this type of poll and hope to draw any meaningful conclusions from it.

Got home hideously drunk last night, thought I'll see what that Bon Iver fella is all about that I keep seeing on eFests. (Best thing about these boards is getting exposed to new stuff, love it)

Now there's a strong chance I screwed up and spotified the wrong thing, but it wasn't for me... not bad, I just wasn't understanding all the fuss. I was surprised by all the processing on the vocal track, not expecting that.

Gonna try again when sober, get a fresh perspective.

Hope he plays the fest though for all you lot keen for an appearance :)
