Part of me was disappointed about not getting The Wolves last night but the new songs did sound great.

Unfortunately I had to sell my ticket last minute as I was too ill to go. Looking at the setlist it was mostly similar to what I saw last year. Compared to then I only missed out on Creature Comforts, #29 Strafford Apts & Heavenly Father.

They were great last night, especially considering it was a freebie  Shame about the crowd, a lot of whom weren't arsed. We had to keep moving to get a decent space where we weren't distracted by chatters. New stuff sounds good and there were several "moments" for me in that set. Not as good as the Hammersmith gig, but that was to be expected by the location etc.

John Grant absolutely smashed it also. Love that man.

I've never really been into John Grant but he really did smash it. Agreed about the crowd though, it was the same for Christine and the Queens last week.

Damn I love those two new songs. U (Man Like) especially is really doing it for me. Wasn’t expecting new material so soon so excellent news if this is the start of a new album campaign.
