sounds to me like his voice is knackered (as it sounded with some of this tour) rather than him not being arsed. with Idioteque coming late in every set maybe he just has to take it easier to avoid blowing his voice out completely? i duno, maybe he can't be arsed either

It's confusing though because the quality of his voice differs from song to song. I was watching this the other day and he sounds spot on (or close enough to spot on), and this is towards the end of the set.

I think if he really goes for it he can nail it, but it requires more effort than it used to.

I would say that if anything his voice gets less dodgy as the set goes on, BTW seems to be the one he can't nail.

Was one of the only songs on the Saturday Roundhouse show that he sounded a bit off on.

By the time Nude came around he was silky smooth.

I'm sure I remember reading an interview where he said that Nude is a lot easier to sing than it sounds. He always seem to nail that song.

A longer Paranoid Android on an Alanis support tour? Crikey.

Yeah, it's not quite the 12 minute version he said, but the ending is definitely not 'dreadful' either, I like it a lot

Also, live debut of Climbing Up The Walls and Karma Police- 'that's gonna be great one day'

I'm from Edinburgh and have tickets for Manchester on the Wednesday but would prefer to go to this (if I can't afford both).

Am I right in saying I cant sell my ticket for Manchester?

Yes.

I'm also from Edinburgh with tickets to both nights in Manchester.  Which cleaned me out, obviously.  There aren't enough swear words in my vocabulary to express my views.

I won't be going to Glasgow short of a lottery win.

If you email the people you bought it you may be able to get a refund and the tickets get put back on general sale. Will on here did something like that for the roundhouse gigs

What is it with these lads and Glasgow Green?  Is it the only place they'll play in Scotland now?

Thom and the lads are big fans of the craft beers of West brewery and the culture of the People's Palace

The Cure? Damn. Typical that the year they bun camping is the year they have ballin' headliners. :P

To be fair it's probably a conscious decision to go after a new audience now, after the changes. Not a lot of their current audience would be fussed about seeing Radiohead or The Cure, and I'm not sure a lot of Radiohead/Cure fans would want to spend their weekend camping with typical TITP attendees.

Of course it is. I'm not saying T should or could have booked them two and, lets say Depeche Mode to headline but it's just typical that a failed festival moves away from camping and starts out again with a festival that I'd want to camp at and I'm sure many others would too. :P

Two nights at Manchester will be a better experience than one night in Glasgow. Unless you've never seen them before Glasgow will likely be a festival style set full of songs most of which you'll have seen before (particularly if you will have just been to Glasto), whereas Manchester will be around 35 different songs across the two nights.
