Us Radiohead fans? Angsty crying bedwetters loving listening for the feels whenever we get dumped or deep or misunderstood? Bollocks!

Whatever gave anyone that impression???!!!

Had a bit of a cry when I read this.

Stuck some Radiohead on after.

I'll give you HTDC and Optimistic as they've played EIIRP, Idioteque and The National Anthem every time I've seen them. I'd give anything to hear HTDC though. Like, they could play My Cherona for the whole main set then just encore with HTDC and it'll be enough for me.

Bradford Cox to sub then

I've just received vinyl copies of Kid A and The Bends as a birthday present. I am very excited about this.

That sounds awesome man. For all the years I've loved my music, and the fact my Dad used to play all kinds of old 60s-80s rock on his old record player and Bang & Olufsun speakers, I'm annoyed I've never got round to owning my own record player. He still has his up the loft which I joke I'm the rightfull heir to! For me to start now, and start accumulating vinyl etc., it'll probably take a lot of time and money! But I dream of my next house, of which I'm hopefully moving into with the Mrs by May,  having my own music room, with all my CD's and memorabilia, alongside a record player with a stack of vinyl, and a chair facing it with a table next to that with my bourbon decanter, blasting out some Bends tunes... I can dream!

Out of interest, do you have a massive collection or just buy records here and there?

As I read it I heard the "pulling on the heart strings" notes from HTDC.

Not that anyone cares. God. No one understands. No one understands Radiohead. They don't listen properly.

Off to cry to "All I Need".

It's a good dream, and easy to make happen.

I only started collecting records a year ago so haven't got a huge collection, maybe 40-50. My wife bought me one of those Crossley players last Christmas. It was a piece of shit, didn't work properly, speed was off, so I sent it back and just decided to put together my own system. Got it all second hand off ebay and cost about £100 for the lot (£20 turntable, £40 amp, £40 speakers), eventually I'll replace the individual components with better over time, but for now it all sounds great.

As for the records I've been buyong up the stuff I listened to as a kid (I'm 35) so trying to get the complete back catalogues of Radiohead, Pulp, Blur, etc. Then the classics, I've got most of the Beatles albums, fair few Bowies, some classic Elton, Zeppelin, Stones, etc. For anything pre-1990 I refuse to buy the modern remasters, I want something that was around at the time, not a first pressing or anything ridiculous like that, but I like them to have been from the same era as the band.

I've got the new Abbey Road half speed version and it's pretty good, but it's worth coughing up the extra for a decent second hand Artisan.

Exile On Main Street is the greatest work of art e'er wrought by man. It needs to be handled with maximum lack of respect.

Good work.

But I'm still finding the repeated AMSP opening salvo baffling.

BTW = bad live.

Daydreaming = ain't gonna come across well meandering to a crescendo after BTW sans strings.

Then DD. Which is pretty much the weakest track on the Long Player.

Like I said... elsewhere, I'd pretty much be in tears for that whole first encore

We keep saying it but Daydreaming second would be set suicide. It would kill any atmosphere stone dead. They need to bring the bangers early on.

Have u been accidentally doing your lists the wrong way around?

Decks just doesn't do it for me. Soz. Starts like a bad massive attack pastiche and ends up just...clunky and a bit forced.

Again: soz.
