Humming and hawing about seeing these lads on Glasgow Green.

Would mean that I can be elsewhere on the Friday with a clear conscience.

Dunno if I've got much faith in the organisers to arrange a piss up in a brewery, though.

I had this very same dilemma

Then one of my mates announced he'd bought a ticket on my behalf

So I'm now going, whatever will be will be

Cheaper to buy a ticket for Trnsmt that it was for a ticket for one of their own gigs, with B&S in the mix too it was a no-brainer for me.

However I'm fully committed to seeing them twice in two weeks as opposed to using it as an excuse to be elsewhere on Friday.

...on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury makes seeing Radiohead a complete no brainier for me.

I'm almost certain nothing can go wrong here though.

The Greens hosted plenty of these as you will know. Friday lunchtime drinks in the city then stroll in stroll out.

If the weathers shit then the ground should hold ok compared to the mess Saturday and Sunday will be.

Belle and Sebastian into Radiohead should be lovely.

Well, that too.

Sexy innit.

Its the 'communal' sets at Glastonbury that makes it special for me. Regardless of everything else great about the festival. And regardless of the band / artist / performer. That's the enduring Glastonbury Spirit to me.

Got all fucking sentimental there (there) for a second.

Can anyone explain to me what Ed and Jonny are doing during everything in it's right place below? It looks like at the start Thom is playing each note individually so Ed can record each note and then use some effects pedal (probably multiple pedals) to play those notes in a loop over Thom's playing when the song actually starts. I'm guessing Ed does something similar with the vocals.

Another predicted setlist:

Burn the Witch

Ful Stop

2+2=5

Lotus Flower

Nude

Present Tense

The Gloaming

No Surprises

The National Anthem

Identikit

The Numbers

Daydreaming

There There

Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

Bodysnatchers

Karma Police

Bloom

Everything in its Right Place

Idioteque

Reckoner

Street Spirit (Fade Out)

22 songs which would come to a 1hr45min set.

I think a lot of people would leave with the lack of OKC and The Bends stuff.

Maybe, but those two albums have already had a fair showing on the Pyramid so I wouldn't expect them to play that much from either - one or two from The Bends (probably just Street Spirit) and two or three from OK Computer (maybe swap out No Surprises for something a bit more lively). They've released six albums since those two so I doubt they're gonna fill their set with them just 'cause it's what a lot of casuals want.

Something like that, it's great whatever it is.  Ed at 6:20 is priceless!

They played a lot from HTTT in 2003 without a mass walk out. It'll be interesting to see what the setlists will be like for the next set of dates starting next month - I wonder if they'll mix things up a bit, try different opening songs, include other songs from the catalogue that haven't been played for a while etc.

They have to bring the more popular, older stuff. 70,000 people loving Creep gives a much better atmosphere than 10,000 stroking their chins to Daydreaming while everyone else is bored.

You'd think that's the way they'd go but if their Coachella 2012 set is anything to go by they clearly don't give much of a shit about what the crowd wants :P

That said, I think the setlists they played at all the festivals last year were pretty crowd friendly without just playing a bunch of stuff from those two albums.

That's the key. NOS Alive was hit central, and I expect something similar to that at Glastonbury.

Manchester will be the show for us.
