The first half of this would really kill the buzz in the Pyramid field.

I'm a big fan and I'd be pissed off if that was the setlist they played when I saw them. Actually looks like they went out of their way to make it as difficult of a set as possible right up until There There and Karma Police 12 songs in, but following immediately with Feral just to piss everybody off again.

I don't think they'll take 14 songs to get to anything from the new album.

I did notice that, it's quite a good split between the albums though and I think it flows pretty well. I really like the idea of the strings encore too, it they're willing to use them it seems a good way to organise it. They'll probably have more from the new album anyway, I just hope it doesn't mean losing out on In Rainbows.

It isn't 2003 any more.  I don't think there'll be mass walkouts, but I think it'll be a compact crowd, relatively speaking, and its collective attention might start to wander if they do long stretches of downbeat newer material.

Much of that set isn't downbeat, it's pretty much a 60/40 split, 60% being lively stuff and 40% being downbeat stuff, and that's not much for radiohead.

Another predicted setlist:

Burn the Witch - lively

Ful Stop - lively

2+2=5 - lively (at the end)

Lotus Flower - lively

Nude - downbeat

Present Tense - downbeat

The Gloaming - lively

No Surprises - downbeat

The National Anthem - lively

Paranoid Android - kinda lively

Identikit - kinda lively

The Numbers - downbeat

Daydreaming - downbeat

There There - gets lively at the end

Weird Fishes/Arpeggi - somewhere in the middle

Bodysnatchers - lively

Karma Police - let's go with downbeat

Bloom - lively

Everything in its Right Place - downbeat

Idioteque - lively

Reckoner - somewhere in the middle

Street Spirit (Fade Out) - downbeat

22 songs which would come to a 1hr45min set.

so roughly 10-14 lively tracks and 7-12 more downbeat ones. All nicely alternating pretty much.

Pablo Honey: Creep
The Bends: Street Spirit
OK Computer: Paranoid Android, Let Down (or Airbag), Karma Police
Kid A: Everything in it's Right Place, The National Anthem, Idioteque
Amnesiac: Pyramid Song
Hail to the Thief: There There
In Rainbows: Bodysnatchers, Nude, Weird Fishes, Reckoner
The King of Limbs: Bloom, Lotus Flower
A Moon Shaped Pool: Burn the Witch, Daydreaming, Ful Stop, Identikit, The Numbers, Present Tense

If we're sticking to 22 songs then I reckon (and semi-hope) it'll be this lot. Some horrible omissions and maybe a little wishful thinking in some parts but I think that's a good roundup of hits, fan favourites and new stuff that should keep people happy.

That would be a reasonable current-tour set list. I'm just hoping they go for the full career-spanning, career-defining set that I think mine would be.

You would hope this would get finally played on the Pyramid.

Which songs out of that lot would you class as wishful thinking? They all seem very reasonable for me. If you were to predict a safe, most likely setlist I think that would be it!

Let Down more than anything :P but aye I tried to stay pretty realistic. Think the best we can hope for is that they get a slightly longer set (maybe 2 hours) so that they can fit in a few more fan favourites, 'cause I can't really see them not playing any of those AMSP songs personally (and for a good reason - they're all fantastic).

Although it figures, it's not just about 'downbeat' vs. 'lively' - there's also a clear division between the earlier, more anthemic songs and the later, less dramatic / more subtle material - and the fact that not much of the latter resonates outside of Radiohead's (admittedly sizable) fanbase.  They haven't had a crossover hit single recognisable to the average spod in the streets for nigh on 20 years.

We might get the likes of My Iron Lung which has been played recently, as has Fake Plastic Trees. I'd be very surprised if 2+2=5 isn't played. I'm guessing they may drop one or two from AMSP come Glasto, but then, who knows?

But Glasto is mostly middle class white folks from the southern half of England. Lots of hipsters, they love Radiohead.

I think we'll have a far better idea of what the setlist will be when they resume the tour next month but id say we'll definitely get 5 from AMSP. I just hope Daydreaming isn't at the start because it'll kill any lively atmosphere stone dead.
