What do we think the chances of them opening with Just are? Would set a tone for the rest of the gig and keep the doubters there for most of it I think

I think the chances of them playing it at all are fairly slim as they haven't been playing it thus far on the AMSP tour. Hopefully this will change for the next leg.

Idioteque, The National Anthem, 15 Step, Myxomatosis...

Cheers. Idioteque is great live but I'm not the biggest fan of the recorded version. They only played 15 Step once in 27 shows last year, according to Setlist.fm, and didn't play Myxomatosis much either (it's also really depressing).

Might wait to see what appears on this year's setlists.

Slim, although the fact they dug out Creep to open R&L in '09 gives some hope. Given the anniversary, I'd have thought Airbag was a more likely crowd pleasing opener.

That's one of those songs where I prefer the recorded version quite a lot.  Due to their "purity" thing that keeps samples and other musicians off the stage, the live version is missing the samples that really define the song for me.  It's just not the same when they synthesise the parts instead.

I suppose 'not being the same' is the appeal for you - I can see that it's arguably got more energy live.

Open with You.  Followed by the rest of Pablo Honey. Thom drops mic and exits stage left.

I am hoping for Creep first. Gets it out of the way.

I don't think the anniversary will be acknowledged at all. Radiohead aren't the best for looking back so I couldn't foresee a planned gesture to mark a milestone.

Attack in something like this order:

  1. The Bends
  2. Ok Computer
  3. In Rainbows (could swap 2 & 3)
  4. Kid A
  5. Hail To The Thief
  6. A Moon Shaped Pool (swap 5&6 if they prefer loud guitars)
  7. Amnesiac (actually I've absolutely no idea where this should go)
  8. The King Of Limbs
  9. Pablo Honey

A lot depends on their tastes.  Do they like the sound of a 'collage of sound'?  Then listen tot TKOL earlier.  Do they really like Kid A, but wish it was a bit jazzier?  Then boost Amnesiac up the running order.

But most importantly, do not forget:

9. Pablo Honey

Pablo Honey > KOL

But that puts Pablo Honey at number 8, which is so 2015.

What will you do if the sneaky buggers put out a surprise album before the fest?

Ah, I was going with tunes in terms of getting people onside with the idea of Radiohead instead of what they'd actually play.

As a new watcher of this thread since getting into Radiohead after their announcement I would like to say hello. I have Michael and Emily to thank for making me listen to them properly as I had always struggled to have the determination to dig into their albums. Do you guys think that they are particularly hard to 'get into' compared to other bands?

Also need some help convincing my friends, that are also coming in June, that it will be awesome. Any tips from you guys who have had to convert some doubters?

Mrs b still can't get into them despite me having dragged her along to see them a number of times over the years. Whilst, as has been mentioned, The Bends and OK Computer are good starting points, if you're all going to be watching them, you could always put together a play list based on the most played tracks from the tour (look at the tour stats on setlist.com). The current tour tends to feature a good mix of old and new. They are one of those bands you have to persevere with though; one listen of an album, especially more recent ones, won't have you whistling the songs afterwards. A few spins and the songs start to work their wonders, and eventually they'll be forever imprinted...
