Didn't they miss off Reckoner a fair bit last tour, but played it almost every festival set? Or am I imagining this?

I believe Reckoner was played at most of the big festival shows yeah.

This tour will follow the same pattern as last year. Some slightly more obscure set lists at their own shows, then banger central at the festivals.

Right, I've now officially got the fear about Reckoner and Weird Fishes.

Arpeggi (soz, the snob in me can't call it Weird Fishes! :P ) is nailed on, I think.  Unless they're being deliberately perverse which is always a possibility.  They don't have a lot of sing along tunes and everyone loves a bit of "eee-eeeeh" along with Ed to that one.

I love that the whole 'Daydreaming played later in the set' actually ended up with it coming in earlier in the set. Was dubious but having seen the clips of it I definitely can see why.

Thumbnail kind of spoils it but watch until the lights come up. Atmosphere would be magical.

Almost impossible to pick a setlist with such an excellent back catalogue but I would love them to open with either Electioneering or 15 Step.

The Daily Mail should be in there somewhere too.

:o

In other news, I never used to get on with The Daily Mail (the song), but have quite warmed to it since it appeared on an episode of Legion.

Me and my mates had a saturday in the other night and watched this in anticipation. Might take a little while to get into it especially with it not being dark at first but it quickly turns amazing. By the end we were memerised.

Edit: It shows they still got it.

Hmm. Musically this is brilliant, but Thom's delivery... how do I put this...? I know he's never had perfect pitch but I'm sure the "loose" songs were confined to a couple of the energetic ones like Idioteque etc.., and there were plenty of stunning vocal performances in amongst it, but if you try watching that video in the boots of a non-fan, checking them out for the first time on TV... I think it'd be hard to be anything other than critical of the vocal performance, would it not? I mean, I don't know if he struggles to sing now, or whether he's just choosing to deliver the songs in a not-entirely-serious manner. I mean it's no Ian Brown to be fair. DISCLAIMER: Only watched it to the end of There There so might have missed some awesome stuff in the encore.

Or is it just me? I've got to say I'm still rather looking forward to this!

Aye I think Thom's vocals are starting to show their age a bit this tour as they've been rather inconsistent throughout. Won't affect my enjoyment on the night at all but you can definitely hear it on a few of the live videos from last years shows.

Yeah, I don't think it'll particularly affect my enjoyment of it down the front. But I can already predict the comments when I get back from the family watching on TV!

"What was the noise you were listening to on the Friday night? At least Ed Sheeran can sing!"

It's not just you.

Edit: and it's why I maintain Paranoid Android needs to go. He mostly butchers it.

Even worse, I'm not a fan of Reckoner either.

Jeez, I reckon we were spoilt last year. No Surprises, Fake Plastic Trees, Paranoid Android, Lucky and Let Down in a set and it's not deemed a banger fest? Would have been unthinkable on Tkol tour

The fact FPT has already cropped up twice - before we even hit festivals, where I think a few of us figured it to appear mostly - bodes well for me.
