Radiohead Headlining 2017

There's no way they aren't headlining at this point. In that Oxford uni video Michael said he wants them back, Ed says they wanna headline again, they are touring next year...don't really see what could stop it at this point.

It's also cool how Ed also thinks it's their spiritual home because that's what most of us have thought for years. I can't think of one other band that fits the Glastonbury ethos more than them. They would be a fitting headliner before the fallow year. Stick em on Sunday night and we can all have an emotional sing along as we say goodbye to the farm for 2 years.

Bit rough and ready, but here are the full quotes from Ed's 6 Music interview:

On playing Glastonbury 2017
“I would love to. I've gone to Glastonbury every year. It’s my carnival. To be asked to play at Glastonbury again would be magic. I also think that Glastonbury for us is kind of like our spiritual home. It is the mother of all festivals. We are very lucky that we play festivals all over the world and there are so many great ones, but there is nothing like that one.

“Everyone who leaves that festival, you will with our tribe. Being in Shangri-la at three o’clock in the morning it doesn’t get better than this. When we leave our faith is restored in humanity. You leave and [you think] ‘people can be great can’t they’? It would be great to play there."

On touring in 2017
“Yeah I think we are. I’ll tell you exactly what the deal is; we’ve been given some dates to look at. We’re not one of these bands that go ‘2017, 2018 we’ve got it mapped out’. We go with how we feel and it is very frustrating for the people working around us. The signs are very good because we’ve been enjoying the touring. Let’s get to the end of it, have that meeting and go ‘ok are we going to commit to it? Ok great. It’s very simple.”

Sounds nailed on, I've a feeling though that he's going to do just Glasto in 17 and do a double of T/V possibly the following.

Not a massive Radiohead fan, love the early stuff that most casuals would know, but I'd have to be in that field the night they played.

I absolutely love a pyramid headliner, me and the wife find a spot near the back and love watching the pyramid field come to life with everything going on in the distance behind the stage.

I also love bands who get what the festival is about so I'm sure Radiohead would be a very special set not to be missed

On the strength of this post alone, I find your -80 rep. baffling.

Are you horrible to puppies or something?
