On the strength of this post alone, I find your -80 rep. baffling.

Are you horrible to puppies or something?

Haha I was thinking the same thing. This forum can be an odd place sometimes. He probably said 'I'm not quite sure if I entirely get why everyone loves the Beatles so much.'

Looking at The Thingy I think there's every chance we could get a Radiohead announcement before Christmas. Watch out for those tour dates.

It wouldn't come with the tour dates because they need to ensure those sell out even to people with Glastonbury tickets, but after they've sold out quite possibly. Tho I get a feeling that Radiohead are the type of band who wouldn't bring forward an announcement and we'd be left waiting until late March/early April for official confirmation.

Just imagine all the lists we'll have had in that time!

Haha, no........I had one member downvoting every post of mine for no particular reason.

Someone else on here did some detective work and PM'd me the name of the member.

Getting overly excited so I've made 2 different possible setlists. One assuming they continue with similar set structures that they have throughout this year, and another imagining they've change things up a bit next year, including a string section for 3 songs because why not at Glastonbury.

First one:

1. Burn The Witch
2. Daydreaming
3. Ful Stop
4. My Iron Lung
5. No Surprises
6. Reckoner
7. Myxomatosis
8. Bloom
9. Pyramid Song
10. Lotus Flower
11. Identikit
12. The Numbers
13. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
14. Fake Plastic Trees
15. Everything In Its Right Place
16. Idioteque
17. There There

18. Just
19. Present Tense
20. Bodysnatchers
21. Paranoid Android
22. Creep
23. Karma Police

Second one:

1. The Bends
2. The National Anthem
3. 15 Step
4. Daydreaming
5. Ful Stop
6. My Iron Lung
7. Lotus Flower
8. Decks Dark
9. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
10. Pyramid Song
11. Idenitkit
12. Burn The Witch (with strings)
13. The Numbers (with strings)
14. How To Disappear Completely (with strings)
15. Everything In Its Right Place
16. Idioteque
17. There There

18. Just
19. Reckoner
20. Bodysnatchers
21. Paranoid Android
22. Creep
23. Karma Police

Yep if I wasn't confident it's happening before I sure am now. This mornings crushing blow has dampened how excited I can get, but fuck it, I'm going and it's gonna be ace. And it's about time! A fourteen year gap between Pyramid appearances is quite impressive for an act so associated with the festival

To be fair, Radiohead UK dates would go very quickly you'd have thought (i.e. the same day, unless it was a huge show), regardless of a Glastonbury announcement.

Agree that the spring sounds about right if they are playing though.

I think Radiohead must be the only band with a snazzy fansite dedicated to listing their songs and albums.

(That's thenumbers.rocks and not efestivals.co.uk)

That is the classic 'we would love to have the call but haven't been asked yet', if not even more obvious than that.

Stones, FATM, Kasabian, Muse have all had it before them. I am very very confident now

Similarly - a personal favourite of mine - there's also Emily's response to them headlining 2017 from earlier this year:

“There’s no planned Radiohead gig at the moment. But obviously we would love to have Radiohead back. Personally I’d love to have them play next year but at the moment there’s no confirmation, so we’ll have to see.”

...compared with what she said about Foo Fighters for 2015:

"We'd love to have the Foo Fighters back at Glastonbury and they haven't played since 1998 so it's well overdue!" she said. "We'll have to see..."

I agree but it still doesn't really make sense for any band to risk it and I imagine that's why it's practically unheard of.

Definitely. The only weird one I can remember is the Stones and their Hyde Park announcement? Seem to recall that was after Glastonbury, but might have been after the resale or something.

I would have thought that Radiohead fans aren't the type that would say "well I'm seeing them at Glasto, so I'll give this tour a swerve" anyway.

I was lucky enough to nab a ticket this morning, am praying that they headline, and will try my damnedest to catch them anywhere else I can!

I listened back and, even if I try to be pessimistic, what I hear is that Glastonbury and other tour dates are on the table ready to be signed if they decide they want to tour next year.  Now we just wait and hope that none of them decide they can't be arsed touring.

Believe in Ed.

Thom probably won't want to play because he hears the Pyramid is too loud these days or something.
