although the prospect of possibly not getting a ticket/being there is literally terrifying me now that they've been confirmed, yeah, i'm definitely glad we're getting the full thing rather than whatever was being proposed for this year. although an impatient me was pushing for this year to happen, we've waited this long - anything less than headliner would've been a disappointment in the end

Did I miss something? Are Radiohead confirmed or am I misunderstanding something? Read back a few pages but I can't seem to find the answer.

As long as SFA arn't headlining the other stage, I'll be there! ;)

Missed them in 03 to see the Furries, still one of the worst clashes I've ever had but absolutely no regrets

Seen them a few times over the years but the first was the pyramid in 97.....20 years on, it's going to be a special night :)

Neil changed their status to TBC on the lineup page, saying he was as sure as he could be without hearing something directly out of an Eavii mouth.

I've never really got Radiohead, can someone post a link to a live video that will open my eyes and make me want to see them?

I've had it a few times where I didn't 'get' a band until I've watched a live performance and suddenly converted. For example RATM, didn't used to like them, saw a live video and it opened my eyes to the whole back catalog. They are now one of my all time favourite bands both on record and live.

Okay so you must all promise not to tell anyone until after the ticket resale!

Just out of curiosity, would radiohead be less of a draw for people wanting tickets or going than say mumford and sons, Coldplay and the like? What's their popularity among the masses like? Should ticketless people really be fearing the likes of Ed Sheeran being put on the lineup?

I dont think it'll make much difference. Maybe radiohead will bring a few people who used to go but stopped going out of the woodwork, but I bet the numbers will be offset by people who wont bother trying because it's radiohead.

I cant image anyone making a special effort to get tickets just because ed sheeran is announced.

Whoever is announced or not announced, I expect the amount of people trying in the resale will be the same.

I might be talking complete and utter bollocks though.

Despite how it looks on the forum, Radiohead wouldn't be a name which really gets the masses rushing to get a ticket, compared to Adele or Coldplay

Though the demand for resale tickets will be huge as always these days

For the poster who said they don't play There, There any more they played it a fair amount on the recent tour, including when I saw them at the Roundhouse :D its my favourite song of theirs so I was rather glad when they brought out the drums for the opening!

Should be a shoe in for Glasto if they play it as it was a single and is a popular song. Would make a great opener.

Now to get a ticket so I can be there to enjoy it!

I think Radiohead are generally a bigger deal than we tend to make them out to be, but I certainly don't think people will be flocking to get tickets once they are announced. As Russy said, it might draw a number of people out who have stopped going in recent years, but I imagine that will be fairly marginal.

Yep very shortly after the hysteria, I thought that's good news for resale hunters

aye as strong as them and Roses are for many of us on here, Radiohead, despite being a huge act, are still quite cult-ish and their announcement will receive a much more mixed reception than (i assume) they got in 2003/1997, and the Roses have toured everywhere tons so them being there isn't anything particularly special once you look past the fact it's them headlining 22 years after they were first supposed to. and Sheeran obviously isn't a big 'festival goer' act, so even though he'll no draw a huge crowd, his fans aren't gonna go scrambling for tickets once he's announced

i doubt it'll make a noticeable difference come the resale, but if i managed to get one in 2013 with the Stones playing then i'm (not so) quietly confident i'll be alright getting a ticket

Now, you may not be able to imagine it but good God would there be swarms of folk trying if that bloke was announced. He appeals to a certain demographic that are particularly fanatical

The fella sold out 2 nights in a row in Croke Park in Dublin and probably could've done another if he got the licence. Thats 80,000 punters each night. His thing sells and it sells a lot.

Radiohead fans without tickets should fear the Ed

I cant imagine that many of those 160,000 c**ts are glastonbury goers though are they? Same goes for the 200,000 nobheads who saw him at wembley.

But then again, glastonbury attracts all manner of arseholes these days, so you're probably right.
