Which of their headline performances is generally regarded as the best? Need to have a YouTube binge on their live shows!

2003 imo. The band was in a lot better place mentally, and i think it comes across

This is also another great one from Tokyo 2004 with soundboard audio. Has  Bulletproof... I Wish I Was  in and a great version of The National Anthem & Backdrifts. The video blacks out sometimes in the first quarter tho, but audio quality is great.

i think they're both pretty highly regarded. the 1997 performance was obviously fantastic for being so The Bends/OK Computer heavy (which a lot of people prefer), but with the 2003 performance they had more to choose from including stuff from Kid A (although was pretty Hail to the Thief heavy so all depends on how highly you rank that album). them opening with There There in their 2003 show has always been a favourite of mine. you've got a long time so definitely give both a watch if you get the chance. if they go about choosing the right setlist their 2017 performance could easily be on the same level as the previous two imo

From what I've heard the atmosphere in 1997 was better, it was certainly more iconic. But musically speaking the 2003 performance comes over much better. Or it did last time I watched it, when I was on a HTTT kick. Which is incidentally their most underrated album. Fact.

I know this is the biggest Radiohead cliché but it would have been an amazing album if it were a few songs shorter. Too many B side worthy songs on there. Thom's alternative track list he posted a couple of years back was almost spot on, except he opened with There There and had 2+2 somewhere in the middle.

Maybe, but I like the journey. I think it's good being long, makes Wolf At The Door more powerful, as there is a certain desperate fatigue in that song. I remember not being massively impressed by his trimmings. What did he cut? All I can think of is I Will and We Suck Young Blood.

A great album. We're going to need to list albums in order of how underappreciated they are soon.

Weird Fishes and Let Down are very realistic. Present Tense has a fair chance too.

Present Tense will almost definitely get played imo - seems to be being pushed as one of the singles/bigger songs from the album. both Let Down and Weird Fishes are two of my absolute favourites so either being missed out would be shite for me

pretty sure i only did one of these a few pages back and this one is almost identical, but fuck it, they're TBC now...

Burn the Witch
Daydreaming
Ful Stop
The National Anthem
Lucky
Nude
Lotus Flower
There There
Pyramid Song
Identikit
The Numbers
The Bends
Bodysnatchers
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
Paranoid Android
Everything in it's Right Place
idioteque

Let Down
How to Disappear Completely
Present Tense
Reckoner
Street Spirit (Fade Out

Creep
Karma Police

i go through phases of thinking HTTT is fantastic or kind of mediocre, but i'm definitely in the former mindframe at the moment - some fantastic songs on there, and There There is one of their all time greats without question

Isnt Wierd Fishes the supposed Radiohead fans' favourite Radiohead track pf all time? i mean Thom does write the setlists and they can be totally not what you expect/predict, but given this fact you'd expect the Wierd Fishes is as popular as it is it'd be of the more likley tracks to be played

On another note. Radiohead on the Pyramid: a man can cream.

This was Thom's track list:

there there
the gloaming
sail to the moon
sit down. stand up
go to sleep
whereiendandubegin
scatterbrain
2+2=5
myxomatosis
a wolf at the door

Personally I'm pretty indifferent to SDSU and Scatterbrain out of those too. I want to like SDSU and the first half is pretty cool but the electronic bit is just so tinny sounding and those lasers that come in at the end are embarrassing. And Scatterbrain would be a fine B side, but a bit forgettable as an album track for me.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that in 2016 we're producing potential Radiohead Glastonbury setlists, with Creep being pretty much a guarantee and Let Down being more than likely? Mental.

yep a few months back you'd get laughed at for including Creep and thought to be delusional for thinking Let Down was a possibility. this tour has been real fan service at it's best

Thom cutting A Punch Up At A Wedding always infuriated me as it's one of my favourites from the album, and as you say, Scatterbrain isn't anything special at all. recently come to love SDSU so would hate to see that gone, but can understand I Will and We Suck Young Blood being cut, although don't dislike any of the songs on the album - the material just wasn't overall as strong as what had come before it

I'll try to explain properly tomorrow, but the problem with that way of looking at it is that you're utterly, utterly wrong. ;)

I must admit that Scatterbrain is made by all the vocal fx, without those it's quite ordinary.

I'll try Thom's version out, but that order just looks bad to me. That dirty banger at second to last? Nah.

Yeahh totally messed that one up as far as the writing of the words, should have been something more like this:

Realistic

1) Kid A

2) Weird Fishes

3) Present Tense

4) Where I End And You Begin

5) Let Down

Not so realistic

1) Kid A

2) Weird Fishes

3) Present Tense

4) Subterranean Homesick Alien

5) Wolf at the Door

(let down isnt that good live tho)

although i haven't seen it in person the live videos i've seen definitely don't live up to the studio version, and if i remember correctly that's one of the reasons they've never played it often. won't matter on the night though - the euphoria of it being played at all after it seeming so incredbly unlikely for all these years will be enough for me

I think this is a great - often overlooked - point.

I heard Godrich on the radio once talking about how he was listening back to the finished recording, minus vocals, of Thom's first solo album and thinking it was...average. And telling Thom that. Who ignored him, knowingly. But when he heard the vocals on top he realised how wrong he was.

Will definitely be played:

Burn the Witch, Paranoid Android, Street Spirit, Creep, Karma Police, Myxomotosis, Pyramid Song  (how could they not?)

Very likely: (not all but most will make an appearance)

Idiotech, EIIRP, Reckoner, Nude, The Gloaming, No Surprises, Fake Plastic Trees, Daydreaming, Ful Stop, Identikit, There There, 2+2=5

Decent chance:

Let Down, 15 Step, Airbag, Optimistic, National Anthemn, Just, Talk Show Host, The Numbers, Lotus Flower

Feel free to add to this.

Myxo definitely isn't a certainty these days particularly at festivals. Even the likes of Creep and Pyramid Song don't get played at every festival (but I agree fairly likely at Glasto). Idioteque EEIRP certainties. Fake Plastic has only been played last two or three shows of the tour so don't know what they'll do with it.

Near certainties (not all get played 100% of the time but will get played at Glasto IMO):

Paranoid Android, Idioteque, EEIRP, Karma Police, Street Spirit, Bloom, Lotus Flower, The Gloaming, Burn the Witch, Daydreaming, Ful Stop, Identikit, The Numbers, Bodysnatchers (that's 14 songs already - if they miss out more than two of these I will be very surprised)

Desert Island Disk seems to always get played but I'm hoping they'll drop it on the next tour.

Pretty likely:

Arpeggi, Nude, There There, 2+2=5, Creep, Present Tense, Decks Dark, No Surprises

That's already 23 songs listed!

Very possible:

Pyramid Song, Let Down, Fake Plastic Trees, Reckoner

And then others like Lucky, My Iron Lung, Talk Show Host, The National Anthem, Myxomatosis etc which they could easily play too.
