They should play Lucky, and not only do we all know it, they know t too.

I'm caught between desperately wanting them to play Let Down...but then wondering if when played live it can ever live up to the recorded version.

I've avoided searching online for vids of it being played live.

Anyone seen them do it? Thoughts?

If we do get lucky with them having strings wonder if we may get spectre

Jonny said in an interview earlier this year (can't remember which one) he doesn't like the idea of Radiohead touring with strings, he never likes the way it sounds when bands do that. Also he said they like to see how they can reproduce the sounds themselves, so I don't think strings are gonna happen.

It's not as good as the recorded version for obvious reasons, but it's still amazing to hear live. When those first notes on the guitar start playing it sent shivers down my spine.

Myxo definitely isn't a certainty these days particularly at festivals. Even the likes of Creep and Pyramid Song don't get played at every festival (but I agree fairly likely at Glasto). Idioteque EEIRP certainties. Fake Plastic has only been played last two or three shows of the tour so don't know what they'll do with it.

Near certainties (not all get played 100% of the time but will get played at Glasto IMO):

Paranoid Android, Idioteque, EEIRP, Karma Police, Street Spirit, Bloom, Lotus Flower, The Gloaming, Burn the Witch, Daydreaming, Ful Stop, Identikit, The Numbers, Identikit, Bodysnatchers (that's 15 songs already - if they miss out more than two of these I will be very surprised)

Desert Island Disk seems to always get played but I'm hoping they'll drop it on the next tour.

Pretty likely:

Arpeggi, Nude, There There, 2+2=5, Creep, Present Tense, Decks Dark, No Surprises

That's already 24 songs listed!

Very possible:

Pyramid Song, Let Down, Fake Plastic Trees, No Surprises, Reckoner

And then others like Lucky, My Iron Lung, Talk Show Host, The National Anthem, Myxomatosis etc which they could easily play too.

I'd take Gloaming out of the certainties section and replace it with Reckoner. Simply because I expect them to avoid songs they have played on the Pyramid stage before (outside of the obvious hits). I think (and hope) they will appreciate that a lot of their fans will be desperate to see as much In Rainbows on that stage as possible, and Reckoner is quite clearly the best (or joint best) off the record. They have three new albums to draw from after their 2003 set, and I think playing The Gloaming would be a waste.

For the record:

1.    Burn the Witch

2.    Daydreaming

3.    Ful Stop

4.    The Bends

5.    No Surprises

6.    Pyramid Song

7.    Reckoner

8.    There There

9.    Lotus Flower

10.  Nude

11.  Paranoid Android

12.  Present Tense

13.  The Numbers

14.  Everything in Its Right Place

15.  Idioteque

16.  Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

17.  Street Spirit

Encore

18.  Let Down

19.  Bloom

20.  Identikit

21.  Fake Plastic Trees

22.  True Love Waits (Acoustic)

Encore 2

23.   Karma Police

It's a hard setlist to pick because they will want to have enough songs the casuals will know, but I think they will be conscious of repeating their 2003 setlist. I could see No Surprise missing out to Exit Music for example. I also wouldn't be surprised if a number of tunes from this tour end up on the shelf again, and some more left field choices come back in to the fold.

Ending with True Love Waits after the 1st encore isn't really prediction, just a dream :)

Definitely doesn't live up to the album version, however I imagine live that won't matter at all. You'll be stood in a field watching Radiohead play Let Down ;)

I agree! But they've played it at so many festivals this year, they might not agree...

Sure they have, but mid sized European festivals like NOS Alive aren't the same as headlining Glastonbury for the third time. I doubt they'll treat it as any other show and the setlist could be very different from what's been the 'usual' festival setlist this year.

BTW, as the resident Radiohead super-uber-mega-fan, I assume you've seen the footage from their two nights at Mexico City? Those two shows have to rank up there with the greatest Radiohead gigs ever.

I think there's quite a lot of competition to be the resident super uber mega fan! I have seen some of the footage, looked like a great gig. But we've been spoiled so much on this tour with pro-shot footage that I haven't spent that much time on them!

The main problem with Let Down live is that they only have one Thom Yorke, so when the song reaches that bit at the end with all the overlapping vocals ('one day I am gonna grow wings') which I think a lot of people would agree is the best bit of the song, all that stuff doesn't happen so it's just a little bit underwhelming. Still great of course, but in the middle of a Radiohead setlist that jumps from masterpiece to masterpiece it's the ones that really connect live in unexpected ways that are going to stand out, rather than necessarily the ones that were your favourites on record.

If only he learnt how to use a loop peddle like Ed 'Ginger Nuts' Sheeran.

The other problem is you're rarely wearing headphones at a gig.

Exactly this. Still great live but definitely wasn't the stand out when I saw them in Berlin. For me, Ful Stop and Idioteque were my 2 absolute favourites live. Ful Stop especially sounds HUGE.

I've been randomly singing Sulk today. Not sure if it's good enough to earn a place on the set list, but would still be good to hear.

Always used to pass by me on the album as a bit of a filler but really grown to love it lately. Probably is the most 'filler' track on the album but I think it's ace. Not one I can ever see them resurrecting live though

I know but just thinking the band know certain songs are not Working without them and may add them
