There's something about the film title 'Harvey' that I think is fantastic, tasteful, and incredible.

However, on the subject of r[in and compromises, I hope it is not Manchester-like where you are, and that the sun warms your cockles.

I have to learn about 15 xmas songs before next wednesday's choir rehearsal! EEK! I do know bits of them all, we just need to know it off by heart next week. Then, on the 12th, I'm singing Mozart's Requiem and a Schubert Mass! Not off by heart though, thankfully :)

See if you can convince the choir to do Schubert Dip instead

Afternoon all

Well what a busy time of year :-), I've not deserted NFR honestly

So last year at Glastonbury I had no interest in seeing Adele, but went and really enjoyed her, but what was even nicer was my elderly Mum staying up, watching it on TV, sending me excited texts saying how awesome she was, then sweary texts as 'if its ok for Adele to swear then she was too ' - (plus Mum was supping on the red wine I fear lol)

Anyway I decided to try to take Mum to next years gigs as her birthday present. (her birthday is just after Christmas)- cue joining the Adele fanpage - getting a pre sale code - and failing yesterday to get tickets despite being in a queue for 2 hours (no refresh allowed)- so resigned myself to try again in the mad dash tomorrow

Then at 10.34 this morning an unexpected email pops through from Amazon, as I had ordered the cd last year (for Mum for Christmas) I had another Amazon presale code to use from 10am today (erm slighly late on the mail amazon) - thought no hope but try anyway, logged on, straight through and two seated tickets to take my Mumsie to see Adele the weekend after Glastonbury and her last gig on the tour - can't wait to see Mums  face - she's never been to an outdoor gig - I could cry I'm so excited about seeing her reaction :-)

Nice one! Is mum going to be on the red wine and sweary though?

Nice idea, FF. Glad you got them sorted. Nice to treat your mum now and then! :)

She sounds like a barrel of laughs, Guy! Did she suggest any alternatives? I'd be asking for a new back specialist, if I were you. Try to keep your chin up, mate.

Hello. Been a while since I've been on here. I'm supposed to be working but am obviously not & enjoying a pint of Spitfire.

Evening! Spitfire's an old favourite of mine, reminds me of my student days. What've you been up to since you were last on here? :)

Hi everyone, I've been a bit quiet the last few days due to a poorly boy (again!) and getting our cellar cleared out and properly organised. Today I have largely chilled out, apart from doing a bit of Chr***mas shopping, and filtering some fragolino. Think I may have to make some of that for next June, too. It's as easy to drink as squash, but hits you like a brick!

Hope you're all keeping warm, we've had freezing fog and icy winds today. No more snow yet since the flurry a week or so back. Night all! :)

Morning!!

It's Friday! WOO!

Gumby, what is fragolino?

Not much to report here. It's chilly but it's ok! I have been watching the birds in the woods at home, they are lovely! Got some super little long tailed tits that flutter about and sing their lovely little song. Beautiful! Possibly my favourite bird at the mo :)
