It's quite a bit windy today. I'm sat in my car in the work car park and it feels like it's going to take off

It's very windy here in Birmingham too. Our back garden already looked a bit of a bomb site, but now with stuff having been blown over and around the garden it looks worse. I didn't think that was possible until now. 

In other news, one of my mates has just turned up to collect some things that he left behind here after coming to our house on Saturday night / Sunday morning. He can't actually remember being here at all that night. Anyway, it looks like the afternoon session might be on as he has tomorrow off work. Oh Lord, for what we are about to receive, may we truly be grateful etc etc.

I have a bit of a sesh coming up this weekend, I am visiting one of the local gay clubs here in Brighton with a big group of friends, two of which are genuinely gay, the rest of us are posing as gay in order to be let in. This place plays some of the best tunes in town, so we're looking forward to a fun night out.

It's true - I do love a good sesh. I particularly love an afternoon session that goes on in to the night. 

I've never been to Brighton, but have always wanted to visit but have never quite got around to it. I remember being in one gay club in Birmingham and kind of being out of my mind demented with drink and drugs, and heading towards what I thought was the blokes toilets. As I approached a bouncer guarding that area, said to me ' You don't want to go in there mate'. When I explained that I was after the loo, he pointed me towards it in another direction. He followed this up with something like ' that's the dark room, and I know that you don't want to go in there'. He was right, in that I didn't. I still wonder to this day if he said it because he 'knew' that I was straight, or whether he just thought it wouldn't be my cup of tea in there.

Morning all! 

As someone who used to frequent fetish clubs, I can confirm you probably didn't want to go in there for fear of an accidental sausage incident! Ah I miss those clubs, I will go again but it's a bit of a mission if you don't want to drive. And I don;t want to drive to london for a club now!! 

Anyhoo, hello! Sunny here today, which is nice. I think I've got a fairly quiet weekend planned, although I might do a Guy and go for "a drink".....

I really need to get on with my flavoured vodka making this weekend. Never done it before but judging by the guideline given to me by you lot, it's something that can't really be messed up.

Gonna go berry vodka I think - with a bit of artificial flavouring in there if I can get some.

Ooh lovely! I need to get started on the pineapple gin! If you're using soft fruits, you don't need to infuse for so long. Well, I don't anyway!

Scruff, with the pineapple gin I just put chopped up fresh pineapple in a bottle of gin! Give it a shake every day, I left mine in the kitchen and shook it every time I went past it. It needs a while to "brew" really, last year I left mine 3 months so need to start soon on this years! 

A few days before the festival, you can taste it and make sure it's ok, add a bit of sugar if necessary. Then strain it and squish all the juice out of the fruit. It's bloody lovely! I think I stole the idea from ICGenie

You're welcome! Yup, it is simple. I also do strawberry gin, which is also bloody lovely. You don't need to infuse for long at all with that, so it's good for last minute. I usually do that a week before the festival. Good luck!

Rather pleased with the few confirmed acts so far. Out of 3 acts, there are 2 I definitely want to see, and the 3rd, I'd be willing if nothing else crops up. Nice going, glasto!
