Morning all,

Yes, I agree, things looks as though they could be shaping up nicely.... however forget the lineup announcements;

You know things are getting close when the alcohol infusions are being started.........

Have a great weekend everyone; looking forward to Scotland Wales today

Hello Skoo,

It's true - I do love a good sesh. I particularly love an afternoon session that goes on in to the night.

I've never been to Brighton, but have always wanted to visit but have never quite got around to it. I remember being in one gay club in Birmingham and kind of being out of my mind demented with drink and drugs, and heading towards what I thought was the blokes toilets. As I approached a bouncer guarding that area, said to me ' You don't want to go in there mate'. When I explained that I was after the loo, he pointed me towards it in another direction. He followed this up with something like ' that's the dark room, and I know that you don't want to go in there'. He was right, in that I didn't. I still wonder to this day if he said it because he 'knew' that I was straight, or whether he just thought it wouldn't be my cup of tea in there.

Talking of dark rooms... did I accidently find one in NYC Downlow last year?? On the left as you go in? Or did I imagine it?

I remember you saying about that! I'm yet to go there, will try this year but will avoid dark rooms because festivals are not the place for that sort of thing!

Actually managed to not be lazy this week! Veg patch has been weeded, dug, fed and topped up with topsoil all ready for the first seedlings to go in over the next few weeks. I'm like Alan Titchmarsh all up in this shit.

Plus I did it in unpleasant weather, so counts double for good weather on the farm!

How so? Is it them shagging frogs again?

Yep - it was brutal. Sadly a couple of them didn't make it but at least they died with a smile on their face.

Hi all,

Well today has been pretty amazing. Went out out last night in a large group, got absolutely trollied and indulged in one or two naughties.

Started to feel harsh on my way home and was certain that today was going to be a write off and I wouldn't be getting a wink of sleep.

Popped a couple of ibuprofen and a sleeping pill, which worked miracles. Was asleep by 3:30am and slept all the way through to 12pm, woke up feeling 100%, even managed to drag myself out the house for a brisk dog walk!

Made cottage pie for me and Mr Skoo and had a thoroughly nice day.

Sleeping pills = necessary for big nights!

Hope you're all having lovely Sundays!

On the other hand there's the option to carry on. It's the option I tend to take, but must reign in before I go totally doo lally.

Feeling a little spaced and not really with it. Not in a bad way though. Just a tad of disconnection.

To be honest, I find that if I am to leave the club/party/sesh by 2/2:30am then my recovery is OK.

It's when it turns into a proper sesh and you don't leave til after the sun's come up that you're in big trouble!

I used to employ Yog's tactic of "carrying on" but I just don't have the stamina for it. I love my sleep!

In fact, it's time for bed for me! Yes that's right, I go to bed at 9:30pm on a school night - I AM COOL.

Edited to add that Festivals/Ibiza are the exceptions to this rule - those are the times I will power on through until the small hours!

I haven't read a book in years. I feel that I should do so, which would require going to bed at about 9.30pm. I may well go for it. Soon, but not tonight.
